5 hr game.....wow.
I remember a game that was almost 2 hours when I first started playing on one of the maps that had an island before I knew that carriers could out range turrets.

5 hours is insane.

The green dudes units are forever on some kindve patrol command. Right now he's moving them to try to catch my banshee, but they still retain the patrol thing. Seems like some kindve hack to me

Internet is obv fine. Been like 5 minutes now.

It dropped me, which is awesome since looking at the replay I was up in supply 185-155 against his roach/baneling composition that my marauders were prob gonna tear through. At least it didn't give me a loss though. :/

Beautiful 16 minute third base IMO.

Xaston, what are your thoughts on...
- 9pool
- drone back to 9
- when pool finishes extractor trick 6 lings
- same deal, pull 3 drones to build spines, but now you have SIX drones at home mining!

I tried this in a game just now (as always, completely by accident, when it didn't hit me until drone #9 that "oh, this is zvz, I should spine rush him") and my lings popped at 2:40 (versus 2:20 for a 7pool), and while the extra 20 seconds might hurt you a little bit, I feel like the stronger economy you have back home allows you to win just by doing enough damage to your opponent's drones even if they hold. You'll have enough minerals to pop an overlord before you build your spines, and then after a little more mining you can get out a queen and either drone up or resupply your ling force. I held the spines anyway but I feel like if you don't hold, but do at least kill a lot of drones, you can be ahead at that point.

lol, some gold toss that was "slightly favored" against me just tried to cannon rush, but he was so bad at it that I had enough time to 4gate him w/o destroying his pylons/cannons (oh yeah, I rolled my worst race too) and win before my base was destroyed. LOL

btw, for science:
- you can do the above strat with a 7pool and then drone to 9, lings will pop 2:25 but you won't have quiiite enough minerals for dat overlord/queen for a bit
- but you can 8pool, drone to 9, lings pop 2:30 and you can build the overlord right away (and still have enough $ for spines). I think that would be the best way to do it.

I played a T twice in a row on the ladder once. First game was a long macro game where he never dropped or tried multipronged aggression, then said "This is a silly game" before rage quitting. Next game, on daybreak, I decide he is feeling the need to cheese me, and scout off his proxy 2 rax real fast and deny it. I thought he would just quit there or switch to CC first, but he tried to 3 rax my 1 gate expo in a very delayed fashion, and got destroyed.

Liquipedia agrees. A 6/7 pool can usually only get one spine along with everything else going on, but an 8+ pool spine rush can usually get 2 spines on the creep of your opponent. It's a pretty solid build esp on 4 player maps where your opponent is more likely to play greedy & not be able to scout you. As for 4gating a cannon rush, it's pretty risky since you can end up in a draw situation if he has too many cannons to break (Or waste a ton of time microing vs. cannons)

Personally I like the Karak build (which I'm sure he stole from someone else). 10pool, pull all but two drones, make two spines in their base.

Also, I think ZvT might actually be my worst matchup right now. That has never happened in the 2 years I've been playing Zerg. Not by a lot, but I'm very confident in ZvP right now and gaining confidence by the day in ZvZ.

I just remember you getting caught by Karak in the second to last WNF and abandoning it, was kind of funny.

ummm, yes....but whats with the autopartol thing? I took a random screenshot, his units we're doing that the whole game.

i assume you could only see the blue patrol command on the replay, right?

a lot of people use the patrol button instead of a b/c it prevents stuff like accidentally killing your own units.

i'm pretty sure it's optimal to vary between attack move and patrol, but i'm not good enough to do that.
