i mean i love playing zerg, but even if i wanted to switch back to terran or to protoss full time i think it'd feel way too awkward. zerg is just so different... like it feels so uncomfortable when i off-race if i dont have control and vision of the whole map. i feel so backed into a corner. when i play zerg i generally have vision of as much neutral territory as possible and almost always have every tower on the map unless villain has set up some sort of entrenched position there.

i like how i see lots of zergs picking cloud kingdom as their #2 or #3 map of choice when losing in a zvt in pro matches

makes me feel so stupid for ****ing hating zvt on that map

i sort of want to get a friend to coach goofy, but i have no idea who could. time asked me if i knew any terrans even near his level he could practice against and i couldnt think of anyone.

I just watched that game. I have no idea how jaedong managed to hold that. It didn't even look as though canata did anything completely awful to throw it away, jaedong just played almost perfectly.

So I played a game (when I was going random against someone), and I rolled Zerg.

He says

"Don't see many random players around any more", to which I respond

"Yeah, I'm basically dicking around. I can barely even play Terran, lol"

He scouts me, sees I'm Zerg, and immediately starts BMing me for being a dishonest ******. He does the suicide helion thing, which does a fair amount of damage, then follows it up with cloaked banshees as I'm going spire off of 3 bases and does even more damage. At this point, he is pretty ahead but has no map presence (I scout him going some weird mech hybrid) so I massively drone up and take a fourth and mass roach into BL.

He continues to BM me the entire game about how I "lied" to him and how I deserve to lose because of karma for me lying. After I roll his thor/banshee/scv army (lol?) with roach/corruptor/overseer and morph like 11 broods over his factories, he keeps BMing me, quits and then says

"****ing ******" and puts me on ignore

Why are people so mad? I didn't even lie to him. He must be like a 14 y/o kid or something, lol

I'm sure he's still an idiot but I can see why he would think you'd rolled T from what you said (ie haha I'm dicking around and rolled T which I can barely play instead of what you presumably meant I can barely play one race but I'm playing random)

Since my unlikely win as Zerg last night I've lost 4 in a row, all to attacks pre-8:30 (which is when roaches start popping out en masse) that I didn't have any troops to counter. So, I'm now tanking my MMR by quitting out of 20 games in a row until I stop playing against ****ing silvers every game - it's like some disease in silver league that everyone does some ultra ******ed rush, and it's tilting me a lot knowing that I could easily stomp these idiots if I was playing Terran.

What's the deal with people playing random and telling you their race anyway? I had this happen a few times. I used to play random, and never told my race. Why give up the one minor advantage you get for playing random?

Random has the biggest advantage against Protoss imo, since they can't open FFE vs. zerg and often have to start a wall even if against terran. It's prob my least favorite race to play against tbh. Toss is also most susceptible to cheese too imo.

I tell people my race when I roll Zerg and I'm playing a Toss because I feel far more comfortable vs a FFE than vs. anything else

Anything else it just depends how my mood is

Also in reference to that other post, some people play random because they enjoy playing all 3 races and they don't really care about hiding what race they get.
