is it standard to take a quick 3rd base gasless in zvt now vs 1 rax or hellion expand? because ive seen a lot of terrans just going to block my 3rd hatch on ladder. i freak out and look for the scv cause i fear a banshee proxy, but nope just trying to eng block my 3rd or whatever.

keep in mind ive barely played over the last 5-6 weeks so i missed any meta shifts

Yes it's standard. Just make 5-6 queens and spread creep everywhere. You can hold pretty much anything with that.

Just watch the recent GSL games. Zergs are doing either 6-8 queen openers. 7 min 3rd, creep the whole map with a 12 min hive. Fun times for zerg.

doesnt work on every map and is a lot harder to pull off than you'd think on some maps

(edit, finally got it - select the bottom 4 and put them in group 1, as soon as "go" hits send them to the bottom on the minimap with a shift-H so they ****ing stop when they get there. spread 2 of the remaining 3 guys at the center to the side with a shift-H after moving them, and the last guy to the top (no shift-H needed). double-tap 1, spread those guys with shift-Hs as best as possible)

banshee one takes practice, you can luckbox the medivac/tank one if you try enough times, the ghost/marine one though is in fact impossible
