It's so frustrating to lose a game when I just can't remember what builds I can use. I can't remember how to open vs zerg at all. I'm just gonna 6 gate like every game.
Pretty sure the next time someone comes into this forum and is like "gahhh I suck what do I do", we just point them to this vid:
I just did this guy's build against a gold zerg (first gold I've ever been matched up with a gold) and crushed him. It was hilarious.
The build, for those too lazy to watch the video:
10 supply, 12 rax, 15 marine/orbital, 16 expand, from then on...build marines and SCVs. If you have extra money build more rax. Keep building marines. Keep building SCVs. No gas. No upgrades. No attachments. No third. MARINES. SCVS. RAX.
Went 5-1 today, first couple games did marine-only, then I tried working some gas into it after expanding so I could get marauders and combat shield/stim/concussive shells. Went pretty well obviously, the only game I lost was to a silver zerg when 72 banelings turned my 95 marines + 15 marauders into 0 marines and 0 marauders. I still had a lot of money and a billion barracks at this point, so I rebuilt my army and attacked again at which point 36 banelings turned my 47 marines and 28 marauders into 0 marines and 0 marauders. This is hilarious of course because before I started playing I was just telling bsball about how banelings haven't really given me trouble before. At that point my bases were completely mined out and he was doing a drop in my base so I quit.
But, everything else went quite swimmingly. I learned the importance of moving out early when I ran into a Protoss that had 5 colossi (like 14 minutes in) that did quite a bit of damage against my bio army, but my 10 barracks producing a constant stream of units eventually overwhelmed him once I got the colossi out of the way.

when going straight bio against zerg, make sure you are leading with rauders. I do this both against zerg to absorb banes and against toss to absorb storms.
I was on a pretty good stretch the last couple days, won 11 of 13 and was being matched up against silvers - then I hit a wall or something and lost 3 in a row (plus 2 more that I quit because I was suuuuper sick of playing TvT).
1st game, the guy's macro was about on par with mine and I made the mistake of taking 2/3 of my army to the first watchtower on Ohana, where his whole army was waiting...was prob an even fight (I maybe even win) if I had my whole army, but I got wrecked
2nd game, I take too long to move out and the guy's sitting in his base with 6 tanks sieged. As I've mentioned before, I have nfi what to do about this, we play a ******ed 35 minute game where none of us attacks the other until I basically suicide my bio army into his tanks to end the excruciating pain
3rd game, get out-macroed by a zerg, army is overwhelmed by lings and blings
4th game, my macro is just ****ing terrible - in the vid I posted above, the guy posts benchmarks you're supposed to hit: expand at 3:45, by 10:00 have 50 workers and hopefully be around 100 food. This game I had 59 food (total) at 10:00, not even close to the number of workers I'd ideally want. Fortunately my toss opponent was really bad and I won anyway, but jesus I'm just playing worse and worse and worse. TILTTTT
