also the fact that my subconscious is contemplating playing 1/3 NL is pretty sobering

my protoss/terran account got placed into silver. People are sooo much better on average than they were last time I was in it (like a year ago). Granted I suck at protoss, but still.

I just want to let all you protoss and terran players know how ez your races are. My desktop broke, so im playing random on my laptop which has huge latency issues. Not only has my MMR not gone down at all, i think it might actually be going up. 4gate and 111 are imba.

protoss just rapes me too hard if they're competent and it's like a brick wall sort of thing where i just have no answer anymore... i mean i am still playing horrible scrub idiot protoss' who are like raping the living **** out of me, and then one of you guys who are pretty good rapes me reeeeeally hard when i think i'm playing well and man that's just discouraging...

like where i think i'm doing really well and then i play zefa and he just does this super duper obvious mass collosus rape you build and i make a flawless build order that leaves me 6 vikings vs 6 collosus... i guess i need 2 starports? lol

anyway he didn't need but 2, happened to have 6

maybe sometime i'll get good enough to counter the raping protoss if i know he's going into rape-you mode but that's like so ****ing difficult wtf



anyway i commend all of you zergs who got into masters and can beat the raping you from the front protoss style

and i challenge all of you to learn how to beat that style with the terran race! i wish you the best of luck and plz report back!!! please!!!!!!!

i'm confused zvz was my best matchup i don't like this

lol just lost a zvp in hilarious fashion. guy ffes with 4 cannons, builds 4 voids and 2 phx and rapes my 10 muta as they pop. proceeds to mass more air, then switches to 4 colossi. alksjfakjlsdfh

just lost another and had a long discussion with the guy about muta in zvz

he says he just gave up not going muta because it's so goot

the thing is you can't get a 3rd base... well you can but there's like 20 mutas in play



3 solutions i'm considering are an earlier 3rd while sacking an OL to see if they're gearing up for mutas OR just taking this guys advice and going muta myself, then there is infestor/hydra/roach..

Going muta first and switching into roach I find is pretty safe. Try to stay ahead of the muta war and you can expand pretty freely (obv ling run-by still happens sometimes). If you lose mutas, switch to roach/hydra.

Just get some infestors and fungal the muta ball

zefa is a terrible one trick pony who should be in plat

Or just base trade when you see mutas pop?

alternative solution: wait until blizzard implements the hard counter unit to that zerg strategy (it's called the Tempest)

most of the muta play is 3base roach into muta and the other they make a billion spines both of which are not going to allow me to win a base trade

On the flip side, the days of working every Thurs, Fri, and Sat night are also over.

Ya, and its super tough to find out if they are doing a tech switch or not. For a while there was only a few zergs doing this and now it seems like almost all you run into are.

The only games I win vs mutas are when I turtle effectively on 3 base and build a strong enough stalker/templar army and get there before a ton of BLS or ultras.
