I was playing a ZvZ and tried a 1 base roach-hydra all in. It worked out pretty well.

Yeah it probably is. I always do 1 base roach all ins or 9 pool spine rushes in ZvZ. I have been getting a ton of ZvZs and was getting bored doing the same builds so I tried to mix it up.

I only won the game because villain thought it was a good idea to not make units.

Why I don't ladder: 1/1/1 and proxy gates.

try proxying one with a tech lab imo

8 pylon 8 gate ->2 gate pressure -> whatever random tech path you feel like

For those keeping track at home, I'm 0-7 (0-9) this season in ladder. Plus I went 1-4 against pockets.

im terrified to play again. my profile indicates my last ladder game was me playing as terran (and i won). lol. that's how bad i was running i guess.

but ive been so busy working like 60 hour weeks + trying to have some semblance of a social life that the most starcraft ive done is watched 2 idra games from this past weekend.

i almost want to open a karak challenge where i play people who i beat before fresh out of my rust... without even warming up or playing any other games. then again, i have no idea when i'd do this before christmas break.

however, if i make it to xmas break sc2less, let's do iiit.

This is "old" now but its more likely close to zero chance you met a masters/grandmaster player because you would know it by the amount of harass you would recieve, no great player would resist harassing a baddie to smitheres, nor do you wanna make yourself used to not harass/scout/annoy, it's something you want to have in your routine not slack with.

Id say its about 99,9% chance you met a guy with like a solid sc:bw history. the macro mechanics of the game is still the same, never stop producing workers, expand a bunch, build units. Im sure since he didnt harass(you didnt mention this any) that much or very little atleast(ud know if you got harassed by a great player) that he is still in the learning phase/transitioning phase to sc2, checking units out, the new unique abilities the races got for macro and all that kind of stuff.

As an old sc:bw player myself my macro is decent in sc2 just because i have it in my body since long before, however my micro is the very first thing that goes to ****

and ofc, 0,01% chance you got an hacker, but an hacker wouldnt mass expand, he would just throw up 25 lines of gateways. (atleast a bronze one), if a pro wanna cheat to gain advantage he wouldnt do it blatantly obvious.

If I was playing a bad player (or good) I'd just 4 gate. But if I knew someone was in gold I'm not above going like 8 min 3rd just to take the whole map and mess with them.that's funny to me.

i had a dream last night that i was at a casino and i saw Nestea playing 1/3 NL. There was an open seat but I only had 50 dollars cash and I forgot my ATM pin # so I couldn't play with him and was really sad.

Oh and a bunch of Koreans were sweating him as he played 1/3 cheering him on like crazy.

I think my brain combined the 2 leisure activities I miss very much into one dream.
