lol apparently i played some wasted sc last night joining custom games on XNC on bnet. i won nearly every single game too (i have no idea how since i was pretty far gone).
in one of the games i actually built a solid wall of hatcheries the entire way across XNC in the middle of the map...
45 minute ZvT. he opens 2 rax into mass viking. i counter w/ hydras then switch into infestor/corruptor after he starts adding mass BC's to his vikings. i end the game once i take out enough of his air to morph some broodlords.
i was playing a guy on ladder really late at night the other night in a zvz on tal'darim and like 1:30 into the game or w/e he just leaves. i go to watch the replay and see he was trying to 9 pool me but accidentally built an evo chamber instead.
1. you want to go 14pool but somehow make it on 10.
2. as your opponent pulls drones to hold vs your roaches, he pauses cuz he's a huge douchebag and instead of resume you click surrender.
Lol i def did the same thing once.. I lost my ****ing **** completely. raged so hard on my opponent taking out my stupidity rage on him so hard that I managed to get my account banned for 1 day by blizzard ;(
when will i learn my lesson and start leaving close position games vs T or P? staying is so ridiculously -EV. why close pos is still in the game is baffling enough, but there's no reason to add extra tilt for it. i mean i guess i can see at least giving it a go vs toss, but vs T no one in masters league is ever losing
well as is normally the case when i start to tilt over the edge... the next game was shattered temple, close position. im glad there's a race in the game that has an auto lose map/spawn. good thing blizz hasn't done the absolutely minor tweak necessary to fix the problem.
dude they're trying to promote different play styles with their maps. some games should be long macro games while other games should be more aggressive. it just wouldn't be as interesting if zerg doesn't have to try and break through a 3 barracks wall w/ 4 tanks behind in 1/3 of the games.
i mean yeah honestly you are right. completely frustrating and infuriating an entire race of players who automatically lose in one spawn position is better than a n00b being confused every once in a while cause he cant spawn close on ST (ignore shakuras please).
