Can anyone say who wrote that quote that's floating around? If it's SugarBear, that guy can go *****. He came off as the biggest douchebag I've ever seen in the first vVv Academy thread. He was playing in Raleigh, and I was actively rooting for him to lose (and I almost never do that). /rant

I mean, I can kind of understand where they're coming from. Obviously, they want something in return for paying for all their player's travel/lodgings (if they even do, because I heard something to the effect that not even A-teamers get financial support sometimes), but this approach is ridiculous. Are they going to keep doing this until they get a team that fits their strict profile?

I think they'll end up with a full roster again this time (people giving the benefit of the doubt because this came out so horribly), but if they continue with this model, they won't be a team for very much longer. No one is going to want to be a part of a team that operates like they are currently if this kind of cut happens again.

Who can join though? There are basically no players who arent sponsored that can get top 44 in an mlg and VVV by all accounts doesn't give very attractive offers. If someone makes a deep run or 2 in mlg they're taking an offer from EG or Complexity, not VVV

There are also some fairly big names that didn't make this top 32 list (CatZ and Spades come to mind), which shows just how much time and effort it takes to be competitive at MLG/SC2.

mirror matchups are just easier to understand outside of TVT which is just incomprehensibly difficult

watching desrow fail is funny. playing vz on kr on TDA, proceeds to try to do the mc/idra pylon block to the natural against the guy who 15 hatches, somehow doesn't complete a wall. then proceeds to chuck some cannons in the natural as well, and somehow positions them so they don't reach the hatchery

Having played a bunch of Orianna in lol, I now know what it's like to play terran.

Yeah, I understand Jerry's POV, and he did tell me he was going to cut my sponsorship.

I also didn't bring up any issues with him because it's not worth arguing with someone who won't change their mind. He likens vVv to McDonalds or WalMart... allowing other teams to outspend themselves and bust while he spends as litle as possible. Well, that's great for your company, but as a player it's not really very appealing.

I stuck around as long as I did because as much as Karak thinks it gave me nothing, I probably got more recognition being in clan wars as a vVv member and being on the team than I would have gotten not on a team.

Also, I guess it's more fault for not getting more support. I should probably stick to bull****ting about my actual ambitions and what I'm going to do, drop out of school for a year and say I'm going to play fulltime and then play <50 games avg a week, as some of the more sponsored players on vVv.

Anyway, going to pursue some other stuff in SC2 with karak, pwn and others.
