I just played one of the best games of my life.

PvZ on Shattered - close spawns.

I wall in as usual. My scout probe sees only a spawning pool so I figured he's going to try and attack early.

His scout drone builds a hatch > creep > evo chamber right at the top of my ramp behind my cybercore so that I couldn't get any other units into my narrow choke. It didn't really do anything as I already had a zealot there.

He's hitting my gateway pretty hard so I'm dancing with my zealot to try and kill off some zerglings without him getting in my base. Then I take out his evo chamber, but the broodlings kill my zealot. So I have 2 stalkers now, 1 at my choke. Get a sentry and warpgate finishes.

Then he attacks with another wave. My expert use of the FF traps in most of his zerglings and I take him out completely. I counter attack, deny his expansion, he gets a bunch of roaches, which did more damage than they should since I pushed into his main too far thinking I was going to take him out. In the meantime I'm getting a robo out.

I back up and get my expansion going. I poke in a couple times, but don't have enough to make the final attack.

Get an immortal.

He tries pushing in and I hold him off easily.

I counter again and this time he went to the top of his ramp and isn't guarding his expansion. I attack that and was going to get a FF on his ramp but my sentry was on the far side of my army. He comes down, I pull back. I realize he doesn't have much of anything. I take him out, FF his ramp this time! and then take out his expansion and he quits.

Was a nice, solid game without a lot of mistakes. It felt good to get the win on that one.

i just got that job at the sushi place i was bitching about not getting. i ****ing love fish and have <$10 so was pretty upset when i didnt get it but my friend who got me the first interview talked the owner into taking a chance on me.

i have such horrible BR mgmt and run so hot when it counts it's insane

Anyone who says 4 gate isn't viable vs Z just doesn't know how to abuse ff.

lol units lost tab 110 to 14... didn't seem like you lost 14 though... seems like you could lose 0... he really needs to move his spines out past his ramp and engage there

lol I can do better than that. I have one game from this season where I went blink stalkers on xnc. I lost 3 units, one of which was my first zealot.

As far as that question, depends on how much energy you have built up and what else you are doing.

how many sentries do you need for infinite forcefields? i wanna create some replays for this thread... i'm thinking warp prism dropping 1 zealot in his main and infinite forcefield his army in the main possibly while BMing

I think I've heard 6 sentries is the minimum, though if you start with some that have more than one FF, it would probably be less.

i think i'm getting better at my "when to just go kill him" sense. always a huge help when the terran doesn't wall though

What are the advantages to walling? Safe against dts and no scout?

I wall against Protoss to be safe vs proxy and DTs. I wall vs Terran to create a choke if he marine rushes and to avoid hellion runbys which are so ****ing deadly to me.

But I'm a n00b.

advantages to scouting are it makes dts a little more difficult, prevents scouting, safe against zealot rush, can help against cannon rush. biggest weakness is voidrays can pick off the supply depots in a wall for free essentially.

I hate when people say "jelly." It's probably the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

This game ****ing sucks unless you're playing with friends. I really don't understand why I even bother with the ladder, I don't actually enjoy it because every game is some bull**** cheese, and if you're playing vs T or P, even if you hold the cheese you're not even ahead and they just pump mid-game cheese at you and eventually A-click win because 50% of the maps in the ladder pool are utterly imbalanced.
