First ladder session in like a week. 1-6, including losing to some ******ed Terran who went 4 fact siege tank off 2 bases and I ragequit because I thought I was behind. Turns out, I would have crushed his face.

So I've been trying this build out and I really like it, I do have some questions though:

-Do you really get 2nd gas before second supply depo? I've started getting gas around 18 now because even with zero scouting (4v4's) I am finding myself flat out broke on minerals if I get gas any earlier.
-When do you usually get more barracks and how many do you get?
-What time does your attack come? Just wondering how bad at macroing I am, mine leaves my base at like 8:30ish (4h, 3tanks, rines)

lol it's absolutely unbelievable how bad i got at this game in not playing 7 days.

just lost to a terran when i had 30+ muta and a bunch of l ing/bane cause i was microing my muta and forgot to put my banes on hold position.

1 marine comes up, 2 tank volleys later i have no army.

just went upgraded lings + mass infestor vs a terran who took his expo at 12 minutes, lost his entire early rush to me, and made nothing but marines

brag: kept making nothing but marines even after seeing the only units im making were infestors, baneligns and upgraded lings. basically scouted that i had hard countered his comp, but kept making his comp anyways. LOL terrans.

variance: lost his entire army again to a bunch of fungals and lost about 6 dropships for free

and he never took a 3rd? lololol at terrans. all he did was keep mashing a and making marines and d for medivacs. literally made no other units other than scvs and i was making mass infestor/ling/bane and took a 3rd and 4th

Hey everyone! I have been having a ton of trouble in ZvT lately dying to all sorts of stupid stuff, so I came up with a solid, repeatable build I can use on ladder. I wanted to share it with all of you.

I think this also might have really close applications to the way the Protoss race is played, so I'd encourage Toss players to read along too. In fact, I call it the "Play Like a Toss" build.

PLAY LIKE A TOSS BUILD BASICS

The most critical point of the game is the mid-game. As a result of the unit comp we are relying on, your micro in the mid game MUST be rock solid. It is ESSENTIAL you master these concepts. I'm still working on it, but I think I've gotten pretty good and the video linked below contains both an explanation and demonstration of these advanced micro techniques. Perhaps some of the Protoss players can lend advice on how they do it with their army comps in PvZ and the like:

Here is a graphic of the optimal end game army with the "Play like a Protoss" Build. YOu'll note I actually CUT drones hard and sacrificed them in order to clear up supply to make as many banelings as possible as safely as possible!



Here is the end game army in action. The micro is about as difficult as it gets for a Toss player, so you know it's hard. But watch me adeptly do it. Note the skillful way I box the individual units so they all do their best job.

Great counter to the standard 2port-banshee-no-expand build. I'll TvZ you and not do stupid stuff except for that I typically just throw away armies to banelings so that will work in your favor, but my macro is getting better.
