Ok I fancy myself somewhat of an internet moderation grizzled veteran. It's a sad thing to pride yourself in being knowledgeable about, but I have a lot of experience running, managing and moderating very high traffic volume boards dealing with a wide range of topics.

The TL mods are some of the worst I've ever seen. They are really, really bad at what they do. I wonder if it has more to do with the poor forum software and layout that they use (making things really chaotic and hard to handle) or their position in the community creating conflicts, but wow they just do so many things "wrong" by even basic moderating standards.

This is the nerdiest post ever, but I consider myself some sort of an amateur mod hobbyist? lol

So as someone who came to 2p2 via SC1-> TL -> LP -> 2p2, I can say that at least at the time I was shopping around for sc1 sites (my first internet messageboard!), TL was the only place that came even close to reigning in the ******ation. Don't forget that they have to deal with a truly global base of users, many of which learned conversational english and etiquette from 4chan.

checklist for getting better:
-use 1 control group, especially at the start! shift add DONT HIT CONTROL!
-building placement! dont have a 3 year old's sim city!
-keep 3 guys on gas! not 2, not 4, 3! and dont move them!
-dont get supply blocked,and use pylons to keep an eye on the map and my base!

I used to use 3 control groups for army. Now I put my main army on 1 group and put like air units on another. The only problem is navigating your zealots to the front, but I deal with it.

Also, one thing is to keep a space inbetween your pylon and nexus if you're building a pylon next to it. That makes sure that the probes always have a route out incase you're directing them straight to an expansion. If you build too close they might get stuck in some deadspace.

Awhile ago I found during a replay that I only had 2 probes on gas so now I think about it in game and quickly click on an assimilator to check if I have 3 probes.

yeah, i tried keeping zealot sentry on 1 and then stalkers/etc on 2, but it doesnt work. my fingers dont have that muscle memory and i just screw up, so 1 will have to do for awhile ^^

yeah for building palcement i mostly mean like extra gates/tech, it usually ends up everywhere and its just messy when im trying to upgrade/build/ open wg etc.

Eff control groups real men box I dont even understand how you would keep everything in a control as toss with warpins.

Also just lost a game in which I killed 20 drones with dts. Solid play from me as usual.

This. Every game I try to hotkey my army to 1, but I still box far more often than I hit that key.

why box when you can just 1 + 'a' click???

If I didn't put everything in a ctrl group I would leave stuff behind just by accident.

I manually box and spread my units and line them up during idle time.

lol @ races that can hotkey to just 1 key and win. must be hard to micro that army! the a key is elusive.

hi guys just wondering if someone else has this problem.

Im playing sxc2 with an asus laptop. Sometimes during a game my keyboard from the laptop shutsdown. It doesnt work then in the game and even after the game....
Need to restart my laptop everytime to fix the problem.

IS there a hotkey to shutdown keyboard that i accidently use while playing sc2 ???.

I lold. Protoss actually has a ton of micro situations (PvT PvP mostly though) I would consider toss the micro race. I dont use control groups because I micro better when I just control click and manage units manually.

Zerg isn't that micro intensive but it definitely isn't a 1a race in any matchup. With my limited experience playing P and T where I am probably low level diamond in each of them I would say in terms of micro T>Z>P

Ahh, and a lot has to do with player style, the above is my style, where I try and emulate MKP when I play T and just get 3 bases as P and then roll.
