Ugh, losing to a zerg on 3 bases is painful. I opened with the fake sentry expand DT rush and was able to do some damage and force him off his natural for a while, though I think I should've been able to cause more pain. It was my first time trying the build and I definitely pooled too many minerals early on. I didn't scout a spire but up to this point zerg had gone just ling/bling so I went stargate and made phoenix (while also going colossus), which I used to snipe overseers but he had mutas and spores to shut down doing much harass with those. My biggest mistakes happened hereafter, the biggest ones being - continuing to make phoenix despite seeing no mutas, not adding my third until really late (not realizing it was pretty easy to defend), staying on only one robo (honestly with air superiority I should've been making more colossi). Eventually he pushes me with ling/bling and a lot of ultras, I lose my whole army and then and wiped out by a mass ling follow-up. Honestly I don't think you can go wrong adding an extra robo just for immortal pumping and a stargate just for void rays once you get your 3rd up. Would've been nice.

And I'm starting to feel that getting a second robo is a necessity if you have any intention of building colossi. I couldn't make a single obs because my robo was late.

If you can't take your third, go all-in!

I like the part where he just gives you like 20 energy upgraded infestors throughout the game for nothing.

Yeah blink stalkers are good and everything but you could make sentries, zealots, colossus, immortal, void rays, phoenix, mothership, carrier, or probes against a Z and snip hatches and take names.

i did make 1 sentry for hallucinated pheonix so i could spot the high ground

cololsus are slow and unwieldy, though I did grab a few to seal the deal after sniping his main, third, and natural respectively (his main and natural were both lairs )

Just played the funniest PvZ against this 700 masters guy on Tal Darim.

I forge fast expand obv, which pisses the guy off cause "I can fast expand while forcing him not too or something". I don't know. Chance to break out some classic Gospy bm. I'd post it but to clean it up enough to post would make it just a bunch of white space.

At one point he had 42 +2 mutas but I just split up my forces and took about no harassment damage. Then I push out with this +2 archon / ht / stalker army and just crush him. Rage and hilarity ensued.

i've been randomly 6pooling on tal darim and shakuras for this reason exactly!

How do you block a 14 hatch on TD if not close positions? And in that case what do you do as protoss?

I'm confused? You should as protoss be able to need to block a 14 expo on a big map like tal darim, and just forge fast expo. (versus zerg)

Unless you are lucky and find the zerg with your first scout position you won't be able to block the hatch.
