I better get on monday funday. I just sent in another replay. This time a ZvZ where I only built 3 units, drones, queens and ULTRAS. My opponent had a 50 food lead and I came back and won when my ultras popped.

I need to stop trying to 4 gate terran. Pretty much every time they have enough MM to push me back, we both throw up expansions and I die soon after to stim. I don't yet have a solid opening I feel comfortable with against terran tbh. I might start trying the fast robo/expand build where you use a quick obs to scout and either cancel your expo to defend against a rush or if you're safe, keep it and gain an economic advantage and do a colossus timing attack. I don't know how viable or necessary early robo is though.

alot of people seem to favor a gateway composition into expand build, but I have been hearing that an early robo is necessary in order to hold a thor push from T, especially if youre trying to hold your natural (thanks alot trump :P)

robo probably isn't bad as a safe play. you can get immortal for thor or obs for banshess

You expand then get your robo ASAP if you see that he didn't expand. If he didn't, then Thor rush or Banshees are coming.

If you see a marauder a robo is bad like always you basically only want a robo before expo against 1 base allins.

Get on SC2 thinking I'm going to grind to some dj music made by my roommate in college (brag: He's actually really popular and has done some events for big celebs).

Anyways, first game PvZ, I'm doing well, then like 10 seconds later I realize he has mutas on my mineral line. WTF I didn't hear it!! AHHH

It screwed me up too much and I ended up losing.

Problem is everyone knows what Trump does so it's easy to just 4 gate him.

Also I think vr > immo for a thor rush.

I've played a few games lately where in game I was thinking to myself: Hey a 4 gate would probably work here, but I don't do it cause it's a really stupid idea.

But then I watch the replay twice. From both our perspectives. And it totally would have worked. So I dunno.

tried to edit my post but went over the time limit. sorry about the QQ in this thread but first week back ahs been..frustrating to say the least.


sigh. just had a 1-4 streak for the night. never laddering late night after a long ass day of work again =/.

random player who proxy 2 gated me
failed sentry expand on tal darim (can anyone tell me what im supposed to do on this map? i dont know where to wall, am i supposed to forge expand?)
walled off terran and my mis micro with VR cost me the game, i need to stop doing this to walled terrans even if walling vs P is terribad

having 16 wins and 30 points in ladder with a full bonus pool makes me pretty sad, just looking at it is depressing



things to work on:

not 1 basing except for 4 gate in pvp
no more fast VR's, no more anything like that
find a safe expand builds vs T (taking suggestions on this as well)
and macro macro macro. Pwn will be happy to know even though i went 1-4 today, i droned alot better in the game i won . guess macro does win games?

i assume you mean PvZ, you should forge expand and wall at the ramp of your natural.

I just did the worst forge FE in the history of mankind, facing a Z on scrap station (which I'm considering vetoing). He didn't show any signs of fast expanding so I walled off completely with a second gateway, which was bad. I had completely forgotten about the back rocks until his zerglings had worked away half of their health, but I was able to get zealots out and a partial wall up in time to prevent any real damage.

However I didn't realize until afterward that in focusing on preventing him from busting into my base I'd forgotten to get a cybernetics core -_-. So I get a core, keep warping in zealots and making probes and just waiting to get lol'd on by roaches, mass ling, banelings, mutas. Anything could've easily killed me. My build order was just so bad that I almost just gg'ed. I get a stargate right away and start pumping phoenix.

I move out with the phoenix to see he has gone muta/ling. Let's just say I won the air superiority battle. Though a combination of long rush distance and my low APM (and the fact that phoenixes can't shoot structures) it took made the game last until the 30 minute mark.

Def veto scrap. Worst map for P imo.

Just played a game where someone went for the medivac energy upgrade. First time I've seen that.

I tend to get alot of the stupid upgrades. That one not so much but if I'm getting muta harassed I like the +1 upgrade on missile turrets and the +armor upgrade for structure. I've gotten the medi upgrade before. And hunter seeker+longer duration on missiles/pdd/turrets

Those are situationally useful.

I can't see the use of medivac energy or the bunker space increase one.

extra armor and +1 building range are the ****.

4v4 game where 2 players share a base.
Me and my partner had our mains totally killed. I had 30 scvs, and a PF at my expo. I got my scvs down to my expo and immediately built a EBay. by the time they had totally killed my main, i had expanded range done. my scvs constantly repaired my PF and I took out a ton of units, my team ended up winning the game despite me and my partner playing awful.

He probably gets a couple hundred replays and only watches a few of them and picks the best one. It's more of a lottery than anything. I wouldn't even waste my time on it. Do the challenge for fun, but don't expect anything more.
