I have been barely paying attention what happened?

Going to have the first game after a few months off. Last time I played the master league hadn't even come out.


I think I'll begin by learning how to cannon rush every single game and see how good I get at it.

Thank ****ing god I went back for grad school instead of playing poker full time. I would probably be in an alcohol induced coma if I still had significant funds online.

2p2 has been so slow so it's painful to try and do anything, but basically the inside people at Pokerstars, Full Tilt, and Absolute were indicted by the Feds for wire fraud and whatever else they did for trying to trick banks into processing money illegally. They were making it look like they were buying golf balls and jewelry and whatever else....something like that.

There are about 8-10 people involved and face between something like 5-30 years in prison and $x - $1mil in fines. Something like that. The Feds are working with Interpol to arrest everyone so **** is about to hit the fan.

Anyways, with that said, 2p2 has seen almost 4.5x as many people viewing the site as it did one year ago.

On 3/6/10 the most people online was something like 3,600. Today there was over 15,000 on 2p2 at one time.

i hate pvz so much it makes me want to quit trying.

PvT on Xelnaga. Guy was cloak banshee harassing me. I saw his first banshee coming with my expert observer. Was able to shut that down pretty well.

Learned my lesson on attacking planetary fortresses. As soon as I saw the PF I backed up and went around the other side closest to the ramp and was able to overrun him.

Was on a 5 game losing streak. Now I'm a on 2 game winning streak. I started off the night telling myself I was just going to play and have fun and the results didn't matter. It still sucks when you lose, but I don't let it get to me.

I'm 2-5 in my last 7 and I'm +6 pts so all is good.

Off-topic: Has anyone been able to download/install the FTP update from today? It keeps telling me I can't. Yesterday it wouldn't let me through to withdraw my money, now today it won't let me install the update.

I think I got my money off of PS though. I cashed out yesterday, but I just checked now and it hasn't shown that it has processed.

You probably won't be seeing that money any time soon, if ever the full 100% of it. Just try and relax and see what develops. Panicking and spazzing is a terrible idea right now. Don't worry, our government is going to take care of us!! (<-Sarcasm)

I really don't care at all, I had $200 on PS and 80 on FTP. I haven't played a hand of poker in over a year, and since this all happened I figured it was a good time to just cash out and see if I could get the money. If I don't get it back it's not really a big deal to me. I'm not sure how you got the idea that I was worried about this.

BEAT: It's been a ****ing awful week for me. I feel like I'm dying of some sickness, haven't been able to sleep well, had tons of projects due in school where I put in >40hrs of time, gonna miss most of the TSL, can't even play starcraft after wedding tonight because Magic are in playoffs (most likely gonna lose) and I have early football game tmrw morning so bed early, and then to top it all off my government is doing it wrong.

He tried to cannon rush me on metal and I spot it in my regular scouting. Then after it failed he tried to take a secret expansion but I had probes checking all the expansions just in case.

How can I take my cannon rushing to the next level?

PvZ last night on XelNaga. I have an observer going around his expansion and I see 3 spine crawlers so I'm thinking I have to just get a big army.

Turns out at that time I had something like 1 zealot, 6 stalkers, 4 immortals, and 3 sentries. He had 3 zerglings and 3 queens, and that was it. I could have just won the game instantly, but I didn't think quickly enough to realize that. I knew he was trying to protect himself pretty hard, but I just didn't put two and two together.

I had 92/100 when he had something like 58/72 or whatever it was. Then once his macro kicked in he had like 150/y when I had 120/y. I eventually lost when I went to move out and he had sandwiched me in a choke point with a ton of roaches on one side and spine crawlers on the other.

If you're completely serious, you just have to do it fast and hope the other guy makes a mistake. Best map to do it is probably xel naga. Either on the low ground on the side or behind the mineral line. The problem is there are like 2 2 player maps now. Scouting time makes it a bit of a gamble. Metal is a good one for a cannon rush + quick zealot. It's just not hard to stop a cannon rush if you catch it before cannons go down.
