Starcraft 2 (GAME IS NOW FREE!) - Page 95 - Video Games

So there has been a lot of discussion about new, large maps, and how Terran is affected weak late game etc etc.

Once of my problems with T is that Z and P have mid/late game upgrades that keep early units useful into the late game. Examples: chargelots, blink stalks, cracklings, burrow fast heal roaches. Tier 1 units

what i would like to see is something similar on T.
ideas: Thor move speed upgrade requiring fusion core Tier 3
tank siege/unsiege 50% faster also requiring fusion core Tier 2
some kind of bio upgrade research out of ghost academy, but requiring fusion core. Maybe a late game melee attack to help with cracklings & chargelots
I'd also like to see a better late game reinforcement mechanic for T. What if, you gave rax a function where they call down bio units like a mule/supply drop? The requirements could be something like they are calling down bio from a battlecruiser, so a BC must be on the field, and teh call down area must be in vision and in range of a sensor tower, so the opponent can see where this is possible?Terran builds reactors and tech labs. This is the extent of their late game macro. Protoss warpgates cannot be queued and zerg has to inject all game

any thoughts on these? Too many Terran tears?

I just realized your upgrades make mech mobile. I'll make you a deal: you can have these if zerg can get lurkers and dark swarm =)

gmafb, you have marines, the best ****ing unit in the game...stimming + medivacs make them impossible. FUUUUUUUUU TERRAN

I got convinced of that marines > everything earlier. Ran in about 90 marines into sieged tanks. It did not end well for me. But I was laughing.

Found out how important it is to secure the cliffs around your first expansion after having a terran drop up there on delta quadrant, destroying everything in my natural with 2 measly siege tanks. I had no air units or stargates so I chronoboosted out a warp prism but ended getting fail-supply blocked for quite a while as his siege tanks had taken out a good number of pylons, which I didn't sufficiently replace. So my warp prism just sat there as his tanks melted my natural. By the time I'd warped chargelots up there he'd actually left with his tanks, because there was nothing left to kill.

also in games against dingo and pwncakery last night i made them build 180+ and 140+ drones, respectively, but still lost overwhelmingly.

altho the game with pwncakery was fairly close until the 25-30 minute mark or so.

I'm guessing he killed some drones, so they made more drones. They didn't have 180 drones at one single point but 180 drones were made over the course of the game.

well yeah

i'd watch the replay... esp the one against pwn. at like the 25-30 min mark he rolled 145 banelings in my base when i wasnt paying attention and pulled ahead (and he also sniped my 4th and i hadn ever taken a 5th), but before then i'd roast a bunch of drones with 23842834 hellions everywhere.... he'd do an entire inject cycle of drones only... and i'd just happily sit in my base with my 10 thors and 3 tanks and 30 marines and let him get away with it.
