Comes out on PS4 today and Stream 9/29.

Derek Yu put some eastereggs in the game as shoutouts to some of the biggest Spelunky streamers. Since they got advanced copies those were the only vids on YouTube at first and some of the reactions seemed genuinely emotional. Veteran Spelunky players struggling on day one I think speaks to its difficulty(redpandagamer was the only I watched who wasn’t dying repeatedly)

New music, levels, items, enemies and secrets. Every review I’ve seen is glowing. This looks to be everything we could’ve asked for and more.

I love Spelenky. I think it's a game you can play non-stop since everytime you go into the same level it's a different one. I've been playing Spelenky on my own for almost five years, occasionally, since one of my college classmates introduced me into it, and it totally hooked me. A few months ago, when the pandemic started, I decided to play it again, this time with my flatmate. We both spent so many hours playing Spelunky... the second part is just great news this year. I haven't been able to play that much because on my area we've been back to work, and since I work at the HR department I have plenty of work to do in such a situation, but I still try to play at least an hour or so on my free time. Really excited about Spelunky 2.

Spelunky 2 is awesome. Big fan of the first one, and while I'm pretty good at the first, Spelunky 2 has been kicking my ass. There's just so much I haven't explored yet. I think i got to 2-4 one time and got to the exit only to die to an unseen bear trap.

No online multiplayer at launch. Estimating middle of October until it’s complete.

Spelunky 2 out on PC. It’s 10% off for the next week.

Seems the run button is bugged, doesn't work. Shame, will have to wait for a hotfix.

I saw a post that you can use joy2key to have your keyboard emulate a controller.

Wasn't fun, sorry. 30 minutes in, I died 200 times, and got to level 1-2. Not for me.

I played for 30 minutes and laughed at every single death thinking 'oh boy I'm excited for what's coming'

I got smashed instantly on 3-1 after getting kapala for the first time and 11hp... :<

Loving the game. First 4 levels are much harder than before, but not than the rest of the game.

The tutorial speedrun (under 30 seconds) is actually pretty tough, did complete it but you have to be pretty on it and might take a bit of working out

Are you serious? That's insane. Have you played on console? How many hours you got?

I'm 19 hours in and still not even close to beating it. I got 140 hours in HD and all achievements. I thought I'd do better. :O

I just checked how many hours I put into spelunky HD and it's close to 900 lol

I have been just getting beaten down recently, I can barely get out of the dwelling anymore lol

I got 550 plays and 350 deaths, I do a lot of resets particularly at 1-1 and sometimes 1-2

Since I beat the game I rarely survive the jungle now. Wtf.

I have 703 plays and 576 deaths just on steam. I have a confession to make.

If u head in that direction every run it won’t take you long before you do both, esp if you try for the easy route on the latter.

Getting quite frustrated now. i thought I was making progress but every run I just find some dumb way to die in the jungle or volcana. I can hardly make Olmec anymore. Just feels like there's a whole game waiting to be explored and I really want to keep going to find out all the secrets but I just keep hitting the same effing wall.
