If you lose a game, who cares? Just a game.

Day9 says, laugh at yourself at how ridiculous having anxiety to play a computer game is.

Yeah I know, it's ridiculous. Every time my stats were reset I said I would play more and not take it seriously, but then I don't play because I'm afraid to lose. I don't know why. I'm too competitive with myself.

Look at it this way: The more you lose, the better you will be to win more long term.

Look at losing as an investment.

Yeah that's a good point.

I have a hard time just sitting down and playing a lot. I don't know how some of you guys do it.

I just played a PvT, guy tried to rush me with Hellions, but since I'm so awesome I held him off while he played scared. Get an observer, go look through his base and see he has a starport up and another one coming so I hurry up and attack him, being able to basically push through and destroy him. I just had this funny feeling that he had went and expanded somewhere. Watched the replay and sure enough, opposite side of the map. He ended up quitting right as I sent my observer around to scout.

What's the purpose?

I'm 7-9 now, I don't play at all other than screwing around against the AI. I always feel no matter what that I'm always behind. I get so much anxiety it's probably unhealthy.

I've tried it before, a few times, and all I got from it was that I was trying to develop two separate bases rather than continue an expansion of my first base.

I guess it takes greater skill. I had the feeling he had expanded so I was moving out to find it, but he quit. All he had was his CC and SCVs mining so he didn't have much of a chance.

I don't think the fast expand, hide in a corner is the greatest of strategies against some form of thinking player.

I have a EU bnet account. I'm living in Asia atm. I have friends in the US that I want to play SC2 with.

This may be a silly/optimistic/naive question but is there any way for me to play on other servers than the EU server without buying two more copies of the game?

How do the top players play each other? They all just buy 3 copies?

Hai. Thinking of giving in and getting this game soon.
1. I'm from the UK, any monthly subscription fees to play online?
2. Should I get the euro version or does it not matter what version I get?

No fees to play online. There are separate servers. The copy you buy is set to whichever region you bought the physical copy or whichever you select when buying the code.

I was trying to get the FFA vs 7 Insane comps achievement, and I get a message saying Bnet is going offline in xx minutes. Get down to around 5 minutes before Bnet shuts down and they destroy my base (didn't have any probes left to rebuild) leaving me with an army consisting of solely 18ish void rays. There were 2 comps left. I kill off one.

I start scouring the map for the last computer. I have just a couple of minutes before Bnet goes down. You can't unlock achievements when offline. A FFA vs 7 insane comps is obviously hard, so I didn't wanna have to try again later especially when I'm seconds away from winning. There's less than a minute before shutdown, I kill off 2 of it's bases destroying every major structure, and it's still refusing to gg. Quickly I find the last expo, and it finally gg's. I get to the score screen just in time to see I get credit for the achievement and then Bnet insta shuts down. lol score

So do they all attack you at once? Or are they attacking each other as well?

FFA not 7v1. I'd imagine 1v7 with insane opponents would be borderline unpossible

I can't see them balancing like, ever. The stats almost overwhelmingly point to "balanced". =\ The map stats show it a bit, but nothing super serious.

That's a result of the match making system trying to force 50% winrates though, it obfuscates the imbalance by keeping winrates similar but zergs across the board will be lower rated ( this is true if you look at sc2ranks - zerg on average is over 100 pts lower across diamond/etc ).
