I feel like trying another rts. SC2 is the first one I actually played seriously.

I own WC3 and have played a few games since I started SC2 but I don't particularly enjoy the hero concept.

I've also played a little bit of AOE2, but I don't own that game.

Any suggestions?

I just looked for about 5 minutes for anything that caught my eye and I came to the realization that I have no idea how good any of the other games are compared to SC2.

You might be better off asking in the random thread in the main VG forum. Doom might know as he plays a ton of games, but I'm sure someone will have a good answer for you.

EDIT: I'm going to edit this because I forgot, but X-Play gave Shogun 5 stars last night. I've watched people play it on JTV and I don't get it, which means I think it looks terrible.

I liked Dawn of War quite a bit, it had some interesting concepts that were a departure from the way all RTS games were going at the time (imo, the Age series started going downhill after rise of rome, and never really stopped).

SC2 is simply better, though.

I was playing R.U.S.E. before SC2 came out. I thought it was pretty fun. Definitely way different than any other RTS I've ever played before; much more slow paced, essentially no micro involved at all, no fog of war. It's all about controlling the battlefield, securing resources, countering your opponent, etc.

Thinking about buying one of these..

http://www.daskeyboard.com/

It's the super loud clicky keyboard that anyone who watches Destiny's stream is familiar with... $129 is kind of a lot for a keyboard though.....

I initially read that as Daskey Board. haha

What's the point?

I have a Saitek Eclipse, it clicks, and it has a cool blue backlight.

Also, how does a keyboard without labels cause you to type faster?

keyboards are all about feel, alot of RTS players prefer mechanical switches in theirs as its more clicky/more responsive, just a matter of preference as to which kind of switches you want though. There are alot of expensive keyboards depending on the switches, it gets pretty ridiculous

I think the lack of labels is just for aesthetics; I don't think they claim it makes you type faster..

If I buy one, I'd just go with the standard one.

"Efficient typists don’t look at their keyboards. So why do others insist on labeling the keys?
Turns out you’ll type faster than you ever dreamed on one of these blank babies. And that’s
not to mention its powers of intimidation. Sometimes less really is more."

I think it's supposed to be tongue in cheek; They are suggesting that since looking at the keys slows down typing, having no labels will make you a super fast typist by virtue of the fact that you won't be able to look for the keys.

Anyways, I just did a YouTube search for the one you're looking at because I wanted to see how loud the clicks actually are. They are much louder than my keyboard.

He originally recommended it, but now he doesn't. And he said that the letters started wearing off after 2 months. That alone is a reason why I wouldn't buy it.

My keyboard's letters aren't printed on so I don't have to worry about that. Just saying.

Should have been read as old-ass (as in super old) grey.
