It's incredible how someone can just go on losing without caring. He lost 3 more games today and was just like " imma destroy the next guy so hard " 5 minutes later he had another loss.

I'm heading out to get him the game se we can get some 2v2 going ( and lose miserably obv ).

When you can consistently beat AI on hard ( t/p, ai Z is so bad ) then you're ready for bronze league, nothing wrong w/ playing 5-10 games on practice league but know that air is so good because of rocks and people are terribad.

Need to pick up a new hard drive (internal) for upcoming Diablo 3 -- something 1-2TB. I am clueless about HD specs / pricing. I just know Western Digital got owned a few months back and prices are still high. Suggestions? Slick deals had a 5900rpm 1.5TB for $70 after rebate but that's past date and I read some reviews saying 5900 is too slow. Especially if I plan to use it primarily for gaming, I should probably get a 7200 or something?

Don't know your price range, but an SSD would be optimal, but they are expensive. And yes, don't waste your time with a non 7200rpm HDD.

Newegg.com is a good place to start, and I would still go with WD imo, any caviar black would be good.

So Verizon is going to start charging $30 upgrade fees for new phones after April 22.

This means I should probably upgrade to a new phone now since I've been eligible for over a year.

This also means I should probably upgrade to the new iPhone.

That will require me to have to also add on the data plan.

My question is, how far does the 2 GB data plan go? That is the cheapest I'll be able to get and is an additional $30/month on top of me paying $60/month already.

Up to this point I haven't really ever thought about needing the internet on my cellphone so I can't imagine it being something I'm going to use frequently. Maybe I'll use it every so often when I'm not at home and need to look up something, but I'm not going to be one of those high school kids who can't put down their phone.

I don't think I've ever come close to the 2GB cap. It helps a ton to just use Wifi whenever you can, and as long as you don't watch a ton of videos, you should be fine. I think the data usage of everything that isn't video is pretty negligible in comparison.

Don't get an iPhone. Unless you love siri or something they aren't close when it comes to screen size, overall processing power, or general capabilities as the mid to high end android phones.

And as long as you are near wifi you don't need to use your data. So at home if you have a wireless router you can just use it and save the data for when you're on the go. And check to see if your town has a 4G network and which type, either HSPA+ or LTE. LTE being wayyyyy faster/better. iPhone's and most android phones range in support of HSPA+ and LTE too.

So you can connect your phone to your wireless internet and use it like a computer?

My friend just got an iPhone and after holding it for a few minutes I was impressed with it. My dad also has one, but I've never really seen it.

I don't know much about iphones or androids so I'm only going off of my limited experience.

How do I find out if my town has 4G?

A quick look seems like the Android and iPhone are similar in price -- Droid 4 and iPhone 4S.

EDIT: Another look at the Droid 4 and I don't like the sliding keyboard. If I'm going to have a touchscreen, I'd rather not have other moving parts.

EDIT2: I guess the Droid Razr would be something better, but again I don't know much about these smartphones and what makes one better over the other.

EDIT3: Not even sure if I'm looking at the right thing, but it looks like I'm only covered by 3G right now unless it is outdated.

lol, this is awesome. I just got a new phone and went through the exact same thing. Except I'm with At&t.

Yes, if you have wifi, like at a Starbucks or McDonalds, or a wireless router at your house or a hotel w/e as long as you know the password or its unprotected you can insta have the net and it won't count against your data plan, at least with At&t.

Either google, or call your service provider about 4G networks and what kind are coming to your town. If that for some reason fails call Best Buy and talk to their telephone people. they'll know.

Verizon has a large HSPA+ network. If you see their commercials they say they have the largest 4G network in the US, which is true, but they don't tell you its HSPA+. And while HSPA+ is far faster than a 3G network it doesn't have **** on LTE, which At&t has a larger network for LTE so they too will have commercials saying they're the largest.

That said, it really comes down to what you want out of a phone. If you are looking for a high end android phone the Droid Razr, or Droid Razr Maxx are really great phones with big screens and far better processing power than any iPhone. Another thing to consider is OS, if you like Apple's iOS then that could sway you to get an iPhone, same thing if you have a huge iTunes library. If you are not into Apples crap OS (imo) then get a more user friendly android OS phone. Andriod 2.3 Gingerbread is good, Andriod 4.0 ICS is ****ing great. And I think Razrs are set up to get ICS sometime soon.

iPhone is sweet. Highly recommended. Not gonna write a huge review but if you're new to smartphones it has all the features you need and a very easy, clean interface. If you're into fixing up and personalization you can just jailbreak it.

As for data, I have no idea how much I use but i definitely agree if you aren't streaming video you probably won't go past 2GB. Most places have free wifi so you can use that and at home you can just connect to your own Internet to save data. Just be aware that most everyone I know (including myself) didnt think they'd use data very often on their phone but ended up finding lots of uses for it.

Yeah, if you don't have a smartphone you'll find your self using it more than you would think. There is a reason they are so damn popular.

I could see maybe a few apps here and there and maybe ESPN updates or something. I do know my friend had an alert sent to him after a baseball game ended, which I thought was cool....although I'm not into sports to the point where I stay on top of it 24/7.

And maybe a few interactive apps.

If I'm home I'm on my computer anyways so I never needed the internet on my phone, but it's good to know I can use my house internet in place of the data plan.

It's been almost a year now that I could have upgraded, it just sucks that I'm going to have to pay $90/month. Maybe I'll just have to use the **** out of it.

But right now I'm leaning towards the iPhone.

Same thing with me. Even more so once you realize that it's actually really hard to go over the 2GB cap. I think the first month I had my iPhone, I actually tried to limit my usage. Then I realized that I only used like 100MB or something and thought "lol **** that, not even gonna worry anymore".

Are Droids and iPhone compatible to each other? Meaning, would I have access to the same apps that the iPhones have access to?

Or is it a completely different system?

I just saw on Verizon's site that if you buy a 4G LTE phone that you get 4GB data plan for the same price of 2GB.

Not that I will use the 2GB, but it can't hurt to have that additional 2GB cushion.

Phones like Droid 4, Droid Razr, Thunderbolt by HTC, etc. -- not the iPhone tho.

EDIT: I just told my mom about the new charge coming at the end of the month and then told her I was going to have to pay $90/month and she questioned why I needed a smartphone. Which she is right. So now I have more to think about. grrr.

There are certainly more apps for iOS than there are for Android. However all the big apps/games/ect are going to be found on both, drawsomething, skype, angry birds, ect. And in time Android will surpass iPhones as far as apps & games and what not.

The Razr is good so is an HTC, also if you are going to use things like Pandora Raido, an app for either iPhone or android that lets you listen to the radio, the extra 2GB could come in handy as that thing uses a lot of data. Now that I think about it, I don't want to insult your intelligence, but data can be best defined as anything that causes you to access something over the net while not using wifi. So dling an app, listening to pandora, surfing the web, ect. If you knew that then forget I brought it up, but believe me when/if you first upgrade you'll use the **** outta the app store of either OS, there's a bunch of good stuff on both you'll find.

And its prolly worth the $30 imo. But I don't know your finances obv.
