heya all, is there a way yet to see what your ratio is and when you might be promoted. I feel like i have been owning people 2v2 and yet still am diamond.

Playing so bad tonight.

Game 1: PvT on Taldarim, I scouted, I thought I scouted that he was walling off his natural, so I decide to FFE. Apparently, he was walling off his main and I lose to 3 rax, obv.

Game 2: PvZ on Typhon Peaks, I scout a 9 pool or so, I go for 3 gate expo. I push out as I expo, he has roaches and my push has to run away. I drop a forge, start getting stalkers. I scout with my obs, I see he is on 3 bases, so I take a third, I stop him from scouting, I deny his 4th, and kill most of his army. I come back to regroup. I push back out and I go for his 3rd, I decide to fight in a really terrible spot and I lose my army(I shouldnt have fought there). So, I start warping in stalkers and I have a colo or two back there, I defend easily with his push, then I see about 12 mutas at my 3rd and the 4th I was in the middle of building. No way I can warp enough stalkers in to defend it, even with the 4 cannons there, so I decide to just to pull probes and go all in, and hope for a base trade. Apparently, he has a massive roach/hydra army waiting on me. I lost pretty devastatingly. I didn't scout well enough, and the 4th I was denying was his fifth. :P And after I lost my first battle, I was always 30-40 food behind. Better scouting, quicker harassing, and I think maybe.. I dunno I might have had a chance. Could have sniped expo's. I macroed fairly well, but my fighting spots were terrible. Bad decision making.

so it appears that fxo are going to korea to play gstl. probably going to get smashed but it should be fun.

Yeah their lineup is horrifically bad.
Not sure if I would put money on them taking a single game.

( More interesting is foreigners being signed as ringers for korean teams, seeing jinro/huk play in GSTL would be awesome ).

I think its possible Sheth and QXC could take some games, others, ug, could be tough.
however, FXO is doing what no one else has done. Pretty impressive.
Also, if you want to recruit more/better players, what better way to do it than by saying we are the foreign team in korea.

1- don't think FFE is really ever a viable choice vs. terran. 15 nexus or 1 gate expo are both much better options imo.

or, 9 pylon/15 nexus, as cue stated. honestly, if you're a bit slow on your warp in cycles and you aren't super attentive at the start, i would argue against using this opening...you need everything to be pretty crisp or you'll die quickly to good terrans.

(says the man who has only done 15 nexus once and lost handily vs. a terran lol).

you can't, that's why i only tried it on taldarim. i've seen ogsmc do it on metal but that's obviously risky as ****.

i probably wouldnt try it as much on lower levels. you probably see alot more 1 base pushes. players diamond + are going to typically be doing more 1rax/FE and such.
