I was going to suggest that, but I didn't think there was much more than just some stats.

I did some digging and if you go to your profile then click the + that is like 1/5th of the way down the page, it'll show your match history, but there isn't much more that I could find after that.

I guess it depends on what he's wanting to find by seeing someone's profile.

EDIT: Hm..ok, if you go to that url above, then find your profile, click on your name next to your portrait and it'll take you to your Blizzard profile, which looks like what you see in the actual game.

I would suggest clicking Single Player and then on the right it says Play vs. AI (something like that).

Play whichever race you want (or try all 3 eventually), put the AI on Very Easy (i don't think they ever attack, and when you get to their base they usually only have 1 unit), put the speed on Fast (you'll play on Faster once you play the game for real).

Then just take it slow, figure out what the hotkeys are, figure out what does what (right click, A+left click, shift+# for hotkeys and Control+# to reset hotkey group, whatever else there is). It takes a little bit of time to get everything in your head, but eventually you'll get the hang of it.

Also, when you're in the game just start putting down buildings, read over the tooltips to see what they do, start producing every unit possible, and just take it slow.

You'll start getting a feel for things and then it's just a matter of getting more comfortable and figuring out build orders.

I completed the entire campaign before I set foot into the multiplayer part. Wasn't very helpful at all as I wanted to play zerg.

You get up to 50 practice games on easy maps against equally new and bad people so don't worry. When you eventually get round to playing for real, be happy if you get into bronze so you have a goal of working your way up the leagues.

I was just playing around with probes and seeing how income changes per probe and with expansions. One of my problems has been expanding and having it up and running once it's ready. I always felt like I would get behind, like there was a period where I had to jump start the engine again.

So just playing around with it, this is what I came up with.

1 probe = 40 minerals/min

There is a ceiling to your income on one base, which is roughly 800 minerals/min. That seems to peak right at 24 probes, meaning to fully saturate one base, it takes 3 probes per mineral patch (8 patches). There is no increase to the amount of minerals you will gather with an increase in probes (on one base).

16 probes (2 per mineral patch) you get roughly ~700 minerals/min.

Once you expand, if you had 48 probes, you would send 24 to the expansion. Your income/min slightly drops to around 700 minerals/min until all of the nongathering probes find a mineral patch to mine, but once your probes going to your expansion get up and running, you will then quickly escalate your income to roughly ~1600 minerals/min.

On one experiment I had 60 probes combined on two bases and the income was still ~1600 minerals/min.

So that's what I found. Probably uninteresting to most, but I thought it was a fun experiment to play around with.

It may be a while before I play a ranked match in this game, too many video games to know what to do with at the moment.

Sorry guys. I am done with SC2. Don't take this the wrong way, I love SC2 and think it is an awesome game.

That being said, I am 30 years old and have been single almost my entire life. I'm done with "geeky" stuff until I have a supportive girl, if that makes sense. I go way to extreme into these types of games, and while it is cool with my guy/geek friends, it is not cool with living the type of life I want to end up living. Hope that makes sense, and may the Zerg rule until I get back, if ever.

Of course, haha. It's good to remember there's a lot more to life than video games and gambling. I too am guilty of prioritizing badly at times.
