I've had 2 games now (out of like 400) where music started playing (some techno) during the loading screen. Both were 4v4 games, and the players were saying things like "map hack", "wtf hacker", and in the second game, 1 guy left immediately b/c of it. Wondering if it's happened to anyone else.

I play 2v2 to 4v4's with friends. Out of the 8 of us, I'm 2nd best, maybe 3rd, with a few major gaps among our skill levels. 1(1k diamond) >>> 23(bottom diamond/top plat) >>> 456 (silver/gold) > 78(bronze).

a few tips from my experience.
1. share control, so your friend can control your units, alllowing you to focus on macro.

2. as a bronze player, focus on building 2 things. marines and marauders. this should win you games even facing platnium players. 1 base with 1 refinery going can generally support 3 rax of constant production, with 2 tech labs, and 1 reactor. you don't get that 2nd refinery (too many newbs get it too early when going bio build imo, hey guise 2 gas, so 2 refineries!) until around when you're getting that 3rd rax up, to get all the tech lab upgrades.

3. basic build order
9 - supply
12 - rax
13 - refinery
15 - orbital command
15 - first marine
16 - supply
16 - tech lab (assuming no ridiculous early pressure, sometimes you just need to pump marines immediately, adding a 2nd rax before orbital command)
then continue adding a 2nd rax (add reactor) when you have 150 minerals and a 3rd rax (tech lab) with supply depots and scv's constantly pumping. there's nothing more important than constant scv production & supply depots. once you have 3rax's with 2 pumping marauders, you'll have to commit 2 scv's to producing supply depots, instead of just one.

then get a 2nd command center for expansion, when you guys do your first major push around 50 food.

4. once you get your expo running, either add 3 more rax's (addons are up to you) or tech up to factories or starports. never stop making scv's (you should have games where you have like 70 scv's).

also, mass marines works really well in early pushes in team games. transitioning out is important though.

i go something like
12- rax
13- refinery
15- rax
once i collect 100 gas for 2 reactors addons, and then take scv's off gas until i get a 3rd rax for tech lab (put scv's back on gas for shield/stim/marauders) expand (and tech or get alot more rax's). push with about 10-12 marines, while rax's are rallied to your army.

another option is to just get 3 raxes (then orbital), with no refineries, just pump marines (about 12), and addon 2 refineries while you upgrade to orbital and push simultaneously. once both refineries are up, i get appropriate addons, judging from what i see, expand and add more rax or tech.

god i'm so tilted right now. get rank 1 in bronze, finally start playing some silver ranked players. finally win a couple in a row vs them, making me think i could get promoted soon. then 2 games in a row i get dropped from battle.net when my internet is perfectly fine. wtf?

first game i had in a bag already from a successful baneling bust. he had maybe 2 marines and 10 SCV's vs my >10 zerglings.

2nd game i might have lost anyway but probably not. i had 100 speedlings and 10 hydras + 10 ultras in production vs ~20 zealots 11 stalkers 3 pheonix and 2 sentries. god damn i at least wanted to see 10 ultras do work.

Just played a random 4v4. One guy left about 2 seconds in and then the other team rushed us and crippled us. I go check the leaver out after the match and he's played at least 5 4v4s in the last 15 minutes. I thought about reporting him but there's no real option for doing that and also its not really worth it so I rant in here instead.

Just played the worst player I've possibly ever played against. Can't believe I won with how crippled I was. Actually thought his "gg" was a joke at first until he left.

61 minute game of TvT lol, woulda Idra raged so hard if I lost that.

What would you have reported him for?

This is so common in 3s and 4s. >50% of the games I've played have had 1 or more leavers.

I wasnt sure if he was doing anything wrong, that's why I didn't bother reporting. Also I never want to be a snitch
Ya I know leavers are part of the game in 3v3s and 4v4s, just that he was doing it intentionally every single match after a few seconds made me question it.

I mean, it's a scummy thing to do in an attempt to quickly earn new achievements and avatars.

**** TvT, 1 hr 45 min game, dude just turtled. Most frustrating game ever. I almost wanna switch races.

Yeah, I will never play Terran as my main race because of the mirror.

So I just got the hot shot achievement. It says: "Finish a Qualification Round with an undefeated record."

I have been out of placements for a long time, so that can't be it. Anyone know what that means?

They need a 'T' button for stim, but basically correct.

terran only has 3 viable units. hopefully we get a buff next patch

As crazy as it sounds, you probably have to micro more to play Terran than Zerg. Having more clicks as Zerg is just a result of the way the race is played. My Zerg apm is higher than my Toss apm.
