when they run to an island and mass turrets you know they won't be attacking for a while so just take every expo on the map and build a 200/200 army of death. You don't even need to attack him at any point as long as you make sure he can't expand anywhere, just outlast him.

If he doesn't attack you at all once he's mined out you can just start throwing your 200/200 army at him and then rebuild cause you'll have all the minerals/gas in the world.

Just gotta scout better & start moving to mutas. If I'm going nuts with banelings then I usually am going Mutas(especially on a map with islands) because the air will inevitably come and if it doesn't you should be fine & can go hydras. Get your OLs spewing creep at all of the bases so they can't easily do a quick expansion. Also, if you're killing him with pressure from b/s(nice!) mutas are great for just spamming the backside of his base. Make sure you get the upgrade G mentioned in the zerg awesomeness thread. That said, all of this just takes experience & practice, but if you're not attacking for a minute, then go nuts with macro, make sure you're teched up, upgraded, and injected to the max and ready for all possibilities. The nice thing about zerg is you can quickly make a crap load of X and respond.

Haha in these sort of games you should leave one expo open near him and just take attack with a few units every time he tries to expand to it from his island. It will tilt him to no end and eventually he'll just tilt all of his units into your mega army.

Probably old news, but I saw a piece of news on "the feed" on Attack of the Show at the bottom of the screen that Blizzard/SC2 was going to start suspending cheaters soon.

Yeah, it says this on the main page when you sign onto SC as well.

I can just imagine the Blizzard development team comfortably throwing around potential unit ideas whilst lounging on their plush leather sofas one fine morning when one of them gets smacked with the fist of inspiration and says, “Hey, wouldn’t it be great if we put a firebat on a vulture? Like, remember how vultures used to decimate mineral lines? Well, now it can do that five times faster.” And then another guy jumps in. “Or maybe we could combine the medic and the dropship. You know, those two units that just flat-out win games TvZ in Brood War?” And then some guy in the corner pipes up, “Or maybe we could put together like four goliaths, a valkyrie, and two unsieged siege tanks to get a super awesome mech unit of death that kills everything…”

I lol'd. From a thread on TL

So I finally played zerg today for the first time. Man they are def the hardest race for me. In terms of change from SC 1, I think theyve changed the most. protoss I think is pretty similar.

Have any of you ever been to Korea for >1month, how hard is it to get a visa/how long can you stay, how hard is it to find a decent short-midterm furnished apartment

How legal is poker, how is it taxed, estimated cost of living etc. Anything would be interesting to know (how hard is it to learn Korean etc. pp). I may have 6 month+ to spare at the beginning of next month and may concider moving there for a bit as a SC2 tourist (playing online poker for the moneyz) lol

I assume Seol would be the place to be (gomtv studios etc)

Anyone ever seen this before? I was just talking with my newbie friend trying to give him tips, and I start checking out his profile...

http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/profile/1641611/1/Karma/

He's played a bunch of ladder games but appears to not be showing up in any division... It says he is "rank 0" in his bronze division (if you look at the division listed his name never shows up). He says that when he selects the Multiplayer tab to play a ladder game it says "DIVISION RANK un..."

Any idea whats going on here for him?

I cannot beat zerg. Played terribly vs a 2p2er and got crushed, then draw zerg in a ladder match and lose in an identical fashion (bunch of speed lings that don't do much into mutas which rape me)...beat a 1k diamond in a PvP in my next game and contemplating quitting forever.

How do you guys deal with wrist soreness? I don't think I play that much. I've played maybe 550 games since release. But after an hour or two my wrist starts to get tight and sore.

In the 4 years I've played poker, I've never had this problem. For what it's worth I use a Razer Death Adder and a hard mouse pad. I don't know if that matters at all.

I ice it and that helps, but is there some sort of preventative exercise you guys might know about?

If your wrist is getting sore you need to change your setup. All of these factors can affect your wrist:
-Height of your desk
-height of your chair,
-Whether or not you use an arm support
-Whether or not you use one of those gel cushions for your wrist
-Mouse pad placement (angle of your wrist)
-Keyboard placement (ditto)

You just gotta experiment to figure things out. Try to have your wrist in as neutral a position as possible. Most people have their keyboard and mouse side by side right in front of their torso and that can create an acute angle to the wrist so try spreading them out on your desk. Switching regularly between setups can help as well.

Roll your wrists between games. Take frequent breaks. If all else fails, play less.

Thanks, I'll try some different setups. Icing really seems to help a lot though.

What is your set up like?

I'd suggest sitting straight up in your chair and having your arm wresting on something

I may have asked this before but is there some AHK script or something that lets me measure APM outside of SC2 i.e. track my APM while playing poker?
