I ****ing hate the team matchmaking system.

playing random 4v4 I'm playing w/ one guy who is plat 1v1, and 2 guys who are barely out of campaign and collectively didnt average 20apm over the game vs 4 people who all have 50-100games+each.

I'd rather wait 5 mins and get a balanced game than get a matchmaking default loss and a waste of everyones time. 90% to lose before the game even begins is so annoying.

How do plat+diamond 4v4 players even get paired with these droolerS?

There are so many toss. I am toss and in my placements all five were against toss. Also l ike 80% of the games I am vs toss. WTF? Also I got into high platinum and will probably soon be diamond :P

I went 4-9 so far today, mostly ZvZ and a few terrans in there. Boo. =(

where do you see your APM or opponents APM? Also is there a good description out there of how the ranking system works? When do you get promoted to higher leagues/divisions?

You get your stats/scores looked at approximately every 20 games or so, if you're good enough to move up, they move you up. Likewise with moving down.

Replay > Press M = See APM.

how do you guys have an APM of over a 100 in the first couple of minutes? There arent even that many things you could be doing?

I'm picturing Thac just spamming the A button as fast as he can to keep the number up :P

Played all of normal campaign under 8 hours, but no achievement.

I spam 3 (for nexus/cc), right click on minerals, and E/S for producing.

Hatchery is #5, OL #1 is #4, OL #2 is #3, and drones are #2. SPAMMMMMMMM

Do you mean I'm only allowed to play each mission once?

Using the replay a level doesn't replace your old time. The 8 hour ach is only for the time you beat the level each campaign. You go can't replaying a level to shave off minutes, you have to reload a prior save

So basically if I f up in the 20th mission, I basically have to start over?

PS. Do you know if I have to play every mission? (i.e. belly of the beast vs. shatter the sky, etc)

It is a good thing unless you're just spamming and not using the spamming to keep track of progress.

replays arent seen as part of your current campaign. Thats why you dont get new mercs or tech if you replay and why going back and redoing them doesnt allow you to complete bonus missions you missed.

I dont dont know about skipping missions but it only makes sense that you can and probably should. The achieve doesnt say you have to complete every level, just the game. edit: yo obv cant complete every, every mission because you have to pick one during the campaign. But since Char is a PoNR there are probably several non-picked levels you can skip

If you screw up a mission you dont have to restart the campaign. Just load a manual save sometime before the completion of the level. I'd recommend always saving the game a complete minutes before you finish the level, that way if the time is bad, you can reload it, and then restart

I cheesed the missions and played all of them and still got it <8 hours so I guess the game still gives me about 40minutes-1 hour of leeway though

I would have told you but you didnt ask me :P on the bright side it shouldnt be that hard for you to do it now and will that much more rewarding

promoted to silverrrr... I started off absolutely terrible at this game. But I just went like 15-3 to get promoted.

+1 zealots are scary against lings. Good thing he waited just a little too long to attack, and went a little too extreme with the zealot count.

Should I participate in the practice league or not? Given that Im for all intents and purposes a complete noob at multiplayer SC? OR should I just practice against the AI and use the build order trainer until I am comfortable and try to jump right into placement?
