I'm always ranked inbetween these levels and got a laugh out of your above quote and cannot really agree more. I myself am really competitive and love this game but there is so much toxicity in these levels. It's probably because players inbetween these levels have played the game long enough to think in their minds they are really good but in reality many of them just aren't very good and when things start to go against them many of them just seem to want to push the blame onto their teammates in toxic ways or chat. Also, way to many people wanting to force forfeit when down like two or even one goal sometimes early. I actually never force forfeit myself even if getting abolished or missing teammates that quit, I'll always play the games to the end. It's a five minute game. I'll take any beating and move on.

Love this game though. Often playing casual these days alot with my six year old who has been playing this game since he was three. He's actually almost as good as me already and it's really cool to see him do some aerial stuff that I do not even attempt and succeed with it. My greatest strengths are actually my positioning and understanding of where to be on the field compared to many at the same level and my recovery game is pretty good and I think I get around really fast. Aerial stuff is still one of my major weaknesses though.

I never propose forfeits and usually don't accept them unless the game is out of hand and I'm the last holdout. In such a case, I think it's a little toxic to keep your teammates playing with you if they're both not interested and they have a reasonable case that the game has been decided.

However, if my teammate(s) get super tilted and leave down 1-0 30 seconds in, I'll usually also leave after. Your chances of winning are usually close to zero, and you're just wasting everyone's time by continuing to play. Your loser teammate will get his cooldown period so you're not accomplishing anything by carrying on.

Agree on forfeiting if your team wants to. Can't recall the last time I initiated a forfeit and didn't have >10 seconds left.

I have been casually/regularly playing for the last two years or so and also right on the Plat/Diamond edge. Won a diamond 2v2 tournament Saturday with a random, but barely holding on diamond in 3v3.

It does puzzle me that I have plateaued here as my decision making is basically on another level when compared to most of my teammates. Understood I'm the common denominator and at my appropriate rank.

Just crazy when your last man is regularly flying in from behind you etc...

Should prob watch my replays to see where I am donking off.
