I've noticed this for quite a few months now, but something that seems very consistent with my connection/server issues is with the first game I play. Usually the first game of every session has a ton of lag, and every game after that is perfectly smooth. Very strange. Does this happen to anyone else?
My game keeps freezing. Usually within the first minute of game play. Then I restart but can't re join the game because the creators ****ing suck. Then I'm banned for 15 minutes because of this ****. I love this game so much but there's so many glitches that ruin it.
You are incredibly lucky if you haven't experienced server issues, crashes, kicks ect.
I'd say 1 in every 5 or so games I have a less than ideal connection. I don't have connection issues anywhere near as bad as RL in any other online game.
Side note, something "clicking" not long ago seems to be true. I've went from high Silver to mid gold 2 in the last 60ish hours. Should also note that's solo doubles. Pure aids if you can't handle the mental headcases you'll run across. Pretty common to get berated for an entire game for one early whiff.
Put this game down for a bit because I couldn't keep playing casual but was frustrated with not being quite good enough at ranked. Picked it up yesterday and had forgotten how damn fun it is. Also had a surprisingly solid game in my first ranked since coming back...still missing open nets and saves though
Think I'll just focus on the van for now - a little harder to put in precision goals but I miss the ball less. If anyone else has a car suggestion I'm all ears.
Just do octane and stick to it. I played my first 400 (well except like first 50 when I didn't know any better) on octane and it was great. Now using breakout as a refresher and I've had lots of fun over last 100 hours, slightly different gameplay but taught me quite a bit too. You can never go wrong with octane.
Yeah I'm a big fan of Takumi and it sounds like it plays similarly to Octane. I had mostly not been playing Octane because I made it look kinda dumb cosmetically, will just have to embrace it if I want to improve though (wouldn't dare remove my beer helmet, though).
I've been using Masamune for awhile and like it a lot. The Delorean was also good for a long time control-wise, but you aren't really living unless you have a pigeon head on your car and it didn't let you do accessories.
Well after 2 games with Octane, I agree it's basically the nuts. Had 2 great games (for me) after a long layoff, including winning a 2 on 3 in OT. Maybe I won't get burnt out again this time; 75 hours feels like a lot but I realize it's hardly a scratch on the surface of this game.
well duh breakout is very flat and therefore some balls you need to approach way differently, however you might enjoy octane if you always played breakout pretty much opposite of what I've had, always octane and enjoying tremendously past weeks with breakout, just give it a go, I think it's also probably good for your skills to try different cars (well, the good ones at least)
Interesting, will definitely give it a shot! I suck and am still high silver/low gold after probably hundreds of hours of play, so anything to change it up... lol.
I can't break out from platinum levels and I have 500 hours under my belt so no worries. I think switching cars works for me if I stick to 50+ hours to the one I chose, I don't think I can do that between matches and I wouldn't even want to.
Now I bought Xbox One S controller so playing on that is also way different than my old Logitech F310. I seem to have so much more control over the car but I also tend to oversteer.
