What rank are some of you guys? I've been playing for about 1.5 years now, and after all this time I think I've just now gotten to a somewhat non-embarrassing level. I can hit aerials pretty regularly, have OK ball control, accuracy, and strategy. Obviously I recognize there's a long long road ahead if I'm interested in getting better.

I'm only Prospect Elite (but should rank to Chall 1 with a bit more consistent play), so I just can't even comprehend how these blue and purple ranked guys do what they do... lol.

Didnt rocket league got released august 2015? Its really just hours you played plus just being good with video games in general.
Although people who learned the game in the last few months have an easier time to catch up, with all the learning tools now, similar to poker.

Rocket league trainer, the french fries dribbling mod (this one actually isnt that useful) and watching youtube guides on what and how to train

I'm c2 after 190 hours in pretty much all modes queuing solo if that helps. I'll start working with the trainer soon.

Can probably hit c3 soon but ce seems out of reach for at least another 50 hours.

the games are also much tougher now and will keep getting tougher im guessing

ive got 700hrs on PC around shooting star level and most people around me have more time in

so getting to blue ranks might not necessarily be a question of amount of hrs in total but amount of hrs per day/week to catch up or stay ahead of the curve

Is the "rocket league trainer" just the training menu from the home screen? Does it actually do useful stuff like dribbling? IIRC it was just like specific shot stuff, which still might be useful, but AFAIK not my biggest leaks.

And how do you check # hours?

I've got about 420 hours on RL and 2-3 air goals... the first was against bots just to get that trophy and the rest were random hits.

I just don't get that bit of the game at all. Still a ton of fun.

Oh ****, Steam says RL is available in a beta version on Mac - anyone know if 360 controllers work on Mac? I can totally get some coworkers together so we can play on a team next to each other, would be 100x better than split-screening it on PS4.

I played one game, got a powerup I didn't recognize whose icon looked like it would hit the ball or something. I waited until I was lined up perfectly where the ball was in the middle of the field and in between me and the other net, so that if I hit the ball it should go straight in. I press LS.

It ropes the ball, pulls it behind me, and lets go. It sails straight into our net.
