What specifically causes cars to explode?

Quite fun game to relax the mind and kill some time.

If you hold down the turbo, after a second or two it goes faster/there's a pink streak. If you hit someone directly in this 2nd-stage turbo, they'll explode.

Anyone else having an issue where the person's picture next to their name doesn't show up? Using the Steam version if that matters.

Maybe they're PS4 players? I think the player pool is mixed.

I Thought so too at first - but there's never been anyone with a picture showing. Not even sure what they're called to Google it: my Steam picture shows up, but no one else's does.

I'm on steam and see no pictures for anyone either. I don't have one set though so I figured most others in the game didn't either.

Maybe it's the same issue that leads it to scroll on the bottom "You are not connected to the internet"... I just saw some people on a youtube video, and they had pictures so I was wondering.

You only see profile pics of friends in game. No idea if that is intentional or not

How do you use the 'Air Roll' button correctly? Do I hold it in while in the air? Or...

Hold and turn left or right.

double tapping x and pressing left or right is more effective than using the air roll button

The more I play this the more impressive Krenovi etc. are to me. The timing and movement is so precise with everything he does, I feel like a little kid fumbling at the controller comparatively.

Anyone got any noob tips? Have played 3-4 games and haven't scored (or really done much of anything productive) yet but god damn this game is a blast. SadLilPanda on ps4.

I would do the free play training until you have the controls down well enough to put the ball in the goal from a bunch of different situations, then try out the other training modes until you can at least get 5/10 on the medium difficulty for each.

Use the ball tracking camera (triangle button) until the ball is right in front or over you, then switch back to free cam. It's a lot more difficult to do precise maneuvers in ball cam mode since your inputs are relative to where your car is facing, which rarely matches up with the ball cam.

The game revolves around centering the ball, where the offense tries to roll the ball along or off the wall to pass it in front of the opponent's goal so that their team mates can rocket in from the center to score. Defense needs to make sure the ball never comes in towards the center from the sides, blocking the ball so that it heads back towards the middle is doing the job for the other team.

So satisfying when you score a goal. Also took me way too long to figure out how to do the quick chat thing

It is kind of funny when you score four goals in a row from the kickoff against the bots in 3vs3, try it again and it fires too high and gets straight into your own goal.
