Just wanted to forfeit a 3v3 ranked game that was 0-0. I moved the ball like crazy, constantly getting good centers to setup my teammates. But any time I looked back after a center that I can't follow up, none of them were across the halfway mark. Then they complained at me for hitting the ball too much.

I pretty much stopped, typed "just score, team has no intent to try to score". Then played on, they complained that I touched the ball too much. I beat one of my teammates a couple games later, then lost with him again, told him he's a historical loser that just hopes for the whole enemy team to tard out for a score. I feel pretty correct in that assessment

I don't get why people bother getting upset at bad teammates in this game - the games take 5 minutes. If you don't enjoy playing with someone, just finish the game, leave and queue up again to find someone else.

You're not going to make others better/smarter players by yelling at them anyway.

other team plays the ball along the boards into the corner... i feel like i ALWAYS miss the ball because my angle is bad or because it bounces over me, and i'm completely useless.

as the non-goalie, whats the optimal play on balls coming in from the corner? get as deep as possible and try to get a better angle i guess and front flip that sucker outta there?

It's been a few years since I regularly played on Xbox Live, but I don't think I've ever played a game that wasn't inundated with racist 12 year old ****bags. I actually kinda miss it. My friends all get on Ventrilo, so I don't get to enjoy drunken trash talking like I used to.

FWIW, I play on PC and most of the people are either silent, or polite. Maybe it's a console thing.

ball cam or nah?

been using it but i think i might start using the other cam solely because of balls in the air. would rather be smashing people out of the way than staring straight up at the ball. also its super confusing when the ball goes over your head and you're driving forward but then youre going in the wrong direction because the steering is relative to the cam/ball position.

not even sure if i'm making sense, that's how bad i am at ROCKET LEAGUE. but its still fun as ****.

i guess some people toggle? togglers, at what points do you TOGGLE?

90% ballcam, toggle it off when going for BOOST or when the ball is super high up and you want to position yourself.

Also, for balls in the corner, I just thought of a good analogy since you're a baseball guy: you know how the best time to field a ground ball is either right before it hits the ground or right after? Same thing with hitting the ball in Rocket League.

I'm with goofy at ~90% ballcam. I watched Paschy (sp?) the other day and he was 0% ballcam. I don't how he does it.

Protip.. telling someone "your grandmother is/was a squirter" will get them to forget the game ENTIRELY and totally improve ur overall score.
