I'm finding myself yelling WHYYYYYYYYY at least once a game in 3 v 3 or 4 v 4 practice online (avoid 4 v 4 unless you enjoy playing with total donktards as teammates). On ranked I'm currently best at blowing easy saves for free opponent goals. Whoops.

loudest whyyyyy today so far was my team down 1 with 10 seconds left and my teammate kicks the ball into the opposing corner in the wrong direction--no opponent around and I was about to hit it to the middle.

I have +100 ping but it runs ok for me. Having fun still suck (aka tl;dr).

This is the way 90% of goals are scored in this game (the weird face-off goals and other lols being the obv exception). The hard part is getting to the right place at the right time. Think that's a huge part of what makes it so fun/addicting.

My main gripe is people crowding the ball in the corner.

That and people hitting the ball from a standstill where the ball moves about 10 feet, when there are teammates behind ready to hit the ball.

I think I'm going to quit playing. Our team was down by 1 and the clock ran out but the ball was still in the air and I hit it in the goal to put it into overtime. Then on the faceoff I boost flipped into the ball and launched it right into the goal for the win. I will never do any better than that for the entire rest of the time I play so I might as well just retire.

For camera settings you def. want a closer camera angle it makes targeting and controlling the ball much easier. You just have to toggle ball cam for boosts. I mainly play 1vs1 tho so seeing opponents in 2vs2 or 3vs3 may be difficult

I think I tried fov 100 and really didn't like how difficult it was to see things far away. I forget if I settled on 95 or went back to 90.

Paid DLC not available until tomorrow though, which is a shame since I need to give these people money now!

New pitch is a bit weird with boosts in different places but it looks really good, if a bit distracting.

The new map looks neat but it feels way too bright, I lose the ball and other players sometimes. Also the PS4 now plays a lot of audio effects through the controller, which is super annoying and I can't find a way to turn it off. And when is Sony going to fix their network speeds, I think I was peaking at 100k/s on a 2GB patch.

It tilts me really hard that some PS4 stadiums have a really smooth framerate and some stadiums (or maybe it's specific effects like when it's raining) murder it. This game is so much harder (and less enjoyable) to play when it's slightly choppy.

Just had the most humiliating defeat ever. Guy got about 7 to 2 on me and took pity on a stupid defense play I made and let me take an open shot, then I shot the ball in to my goal and we spent the rest of the match him owning me at own goals

Killing with kindness is far more cruel than spamming what a saves.
