I heard that this was the sequel to another game, but it's basically just the exact same game physics-wise with updated graphics and a much more pronounceable name compared to Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket Powered Robotic Battle Cars, so it's a little surprising that the previous game didn't get _any_ attention. Kronovi/Camgears and his friends are apparently a few of the handful that have been playing the previous game for years along with a year of the Rocket League beta.
Me and my friends got high and played SARPBC every night for about 3 months when it first came out. We still sucked. Maybe if we'd kept it up for another 5.5 years we'd be at Kronovi's level...
I remember my basic tactic became to ignore the ball and just razz around as fast I could, exploding enemy cars and occasionally ramming my friends.
I was going to wait with this because Witcher 3, but had to pick it up anyway.
Only been able to play SP so far because servers are either down or there are 0 other players online, but still having a blast. It's really great when you can tell right away that a game is so well polished it comes to controls and gameplay. Simple, yet with a lot of depth.
