The $150 is the hybrid one where you strum strings, but the frets are all buttons. There's another one that has all strings, I don't think pricing is out for that one.

And that is the cheesy 'pro' guitar that just has a lot of buttons for frets. There is another guitar that is real strings and frets all the way up. You could use it as a regular guitar. I don't think a price has been released for this one yet.

Well they have PC software that does that. You can connect your keyboard with a midi-usb cable and use the training software in a similar way. Basically they will give you lessons and then let you play and mark your errors etc. I think the one I bought for my step-daughter was 'Piano and Keyboard Method'.

Possible release date of Sept 24.

I think RB2 was in Sept for 360, then a month (?) later on ps3

i'm in. I can play all 4 instruments on expert, but vocals is my weakest.

I would prefer in this order

Drum
Guitar
Bass
Vocal

I can also sing/bass once I know the songs better

Is there info on instrument compatibility between this and Guitar Hero?
I have Guitar Hero 3 and 4 for wii but I'm kind of looking for an excuse to get this for XBOX. Plus I want the real guitar mostly, and not super interested in the drums (though they're fun occasionally).

They claim to be playing the song, but it's off. The power chords are wrong. Playing all fret 3, instead of 3-5-5.

Game seems way to hard for me. Learning to play real guitar is tough. Definitely not getting it.

this looks cool thx for all the work put into this thread ds. i have to say though that the setlist is disappointing. i haven't been jazzed about a RB or GH setlist in so long... i feel like nothing will ever compare to gh2. RB 1 was pretty good.
