Laptop power adapter died, luckily it was at the end of raid. But I have no idea what I'm gonna do about tomorrow's raid or any of the ones between now and when I get the parts to build a PC..trying to get an old laptop working but the screen is dead on it. Hooked it up to a monitor but I can't get past the login screen because that shows up on the laptop screen...

Or I guess I could pick up a new charger tomorrow, assuming they make chargers with interchangeable plugs or something like that, otherwise I don't know what the chances are that I could walk into a store and walk out with a charger that would work for my laptop.

The past 3 hours have been quite annoying to say the least.

Laptop charger dies in the middle of raid, but I make it to the end on the battery (though with like 8 fps that whole time). Scramble around to try old laptop chargers to see if any of them will fit this one, but they don't.

Start digging around for old laptop, can't find it right away and assume it's gone. Eventually find it and start it up, only to find the screen is broken. Hook up to monitor and spend 45 minutes trying to figure out how to get past the log in screen so that I can tell it to only show on the monitor (since the log in screen was ONLY showing up on the laptop, I couldn't get past it quickly).

Copy WoW folder from newer laptop onto external hard drive before the battery dies. Start playing WoW on older laptop from the external hard drive before copying it over just to see if it'll even work well enough to raid on. Turns out it's actually smoother than the newer laptop, though I think that's largely due to the fact that I turned the resolution down to 800x600 or whatever the minimum is (which, after seeing that it doesn't look any different to me at all, I probably should've been doing that on the newer laptop too).

So now I'm excited that it looks like this will be a very viable option if I don't feel like grabbing a new charger tomorrow. BUT WAIT, external hard drive shuts off before I can get WoW copied onto the older laptop. Can't get external hard drive to work, assume it's just dead because I've had problems with it in the past, and it's gotta be like 8 years old by now. I have another external though, so I start copying WoW over to that, crossing my fingers that it can finish before the laptop runs out of battery. It doesn't finish.

I start downloading the WoW client, figuring I'll probably have to let that download overnight and set up all my add-ons as best as I can tomorrow to be able to at least raid. I also decide to plug my USB headset in to the older laptop for something unrelated, so I unplug the broken external hard drive and plug the headset in. Lo and behold, the headset doesn't work either. So clearly it's a problem with that USB port. Plug external into different port, it works. Immediately start copying WoW folder onto laptop, cross fingers that it finishes before something else decides to break.

I think I've said on here before that I want to go for the Seeker title. Right now, my Armory says that I have completed 2,422/3,000 quests. In game, I see this same number when I log in. However, after I complete any random quest, the number shoots up to 2900+. I've been doing a lot of quests and I've watched it climb up from around 2,700 (when the Armory said 2,100) to where I am now. As far as I can tell I'm about 25 quests away from the title. Or 578. I guess we'll find out soon.

I am also sitting at 8,845 Achievement points. Naturally, the next big goal after the Seeker title is to go for the Over 9000 Feat of Strength. However, I see in my Armory that I already have this FoS. I got it on 11/17/12. With my 8845 Achievement points. It is most definitely NOT over 9000. If I don't get to see that thing pop up and make the little achievement sound I'm going to be sorely disappointed.

Why don't any of these numbers match up? I've logged on to all my high-level characters and most of my low level ones since 5.0 hit. My only guess is that it is some combination of my Mage changing factions twice and most of the quests I completed at low level being replaced when Blizzard revamped all the old world zones. For example, I leveled through Stranglethorn Vale, got the Green Hills of Stranglethorn achievement way back when etc. Now it's two zones. Both showed up as 0 quests completed before I recently started working on them.

They need to come up with another tier or two above Seeker imo.

1% wipe on heroic Garalon early on, then we couldn't get our **** together enough to even hit the enrage again..

Also I might be switching to my monk soon. There were 9 healers when I joined, 2 of each class except pally. There are now 5: 1 monk, 1 shaman, 1 priest, 2 druids (ret pally with a good holy set healed tonight, not sure if he's gonna be switching to holy or if we're gonna recruit one/two). Since druids are utterly useless in 25s, I offered to switch, so they're considering it. I think it depends on what apps we get, and also how much the monk nerfs actually affect their healing, since my monk is 472 right now compared to my druid at 491. I can still almost definitely do more healing on my monk than my druid though even with the 20 ilvl difference.

And unrelated, but I'm watching Affinitii's stream right now, and he just said one of their longest attempts on heroic Sha was like 26 minutes, and their kill was something over 20 minutes (didn't catch the number). That's ****ing insane

WTF? Is there no enrage timer on Sha of Fear or something?

Also, what happened to all your healers? O.o

Also jealous, since my guild is hitting the enrage on NORMAL Garalon. We're constantly getting between 1-5%.

Those mage nerfs seem meh. Maybe they matter in PVP. Only real nerf is 25% less Ice Barrier. Assuming the ignite/combustion thing works as intended.

I have no idea if there's an enrage or not, I imagine there would be. I guess it might be something like 28 or 30 minutes. It's already a long fight to begin with (our normal kill was 12:30 this week), and there's an entire new phase, so I'm not completely surprised heroic is so long, but still..that's pretty horrible to have a fight that long: every extra minute of the fight, that's 1 more minute for something out of your control to go wrong, like DCs or whatever else.

As for the healers, 2 were getting flaky and then left to "raid with friends" or something, 1 I don't really know what happened but he left and server transferred to some 4/6 normal MV guild. And the last one got sent overseas for work, I think he'll be back in a month or so.

To be fair, our DPS probably have a lot more gear and set bonuses etc. than yours, and he "only" has about 200m more health, which is ~30% more. The legs also have proportionally more health, so since you get to spend more time doing double damage to them, the DPS check for heroic honestly I don't think is THAT much higher than normal. The numbers will certainly look higher though because of the more time doing double damage. To compare, our normal kill last night was 6:30 which is only 30 seconds off enrage, and while we did carry 1 person through it who was afk at the beginning and died outside the wall, I don't think he would've made the fight significantly shorter.

But on the bright side you've apparently killed Qin-xi 13 times on Normal? That's impressive.

I noticed it when I was looking at Ataxus (Blood Legion Mage). It shows him as also clearing Normal MSV like 13 times but having no Feng kills. It shows the Fearless title but it doesn't even show him as having any Normal mode kills of HoF or TES. I should have 4 Stone Guard Kills and 1 Feng kill and it's showing me with 5 Will of the Emperor Kills.

From looking at a bunch of different armories, it's not showing anything for HoF and TES (even LFR). Everyone has MSV partially complete. Everyone is 5/6 - no one has killed Feng.
