i have been playing it since release, i guess that's over a year now.
it's pretty fun, but there is a lot that can be complained about. i don't think you're going to find a lot of people on here playing the game and would be better off checking out the quakechampions subreddit.
why does no one play it? because even though there's significant skill compression compared to previous quakes, it's still not at the fortnite level. casual gamers are going to get stomped by better players, and most people don't enjoy that.
the pro scene is fun - some of the 2v2s at the dreamhack france event in may were awesome and quakecon should be similarly great.
