Depends on your definition of a good idea.

Sometimes wasting money can be a good idea.

1st impression: can't believe how long it's taking to install GTA V from disc. I think the remastered TLOU (came as a digital code in the box) will download faster than this installs. And it's annoying that I have to launch the game to do the install instead of having the OS take care of it in the background.

I think GTA V is the longest install I've seen, by far. It's pretty ridiculous.

That's very atypical, I think the only other disc-based game I've seen like that (with a post-launch "installing") is watch_dogs. That took forever. Most disc based games will be ready to play in ~10 seconds, and the OS will indeed take care of it in the background.

Show was decent imo, Probably 7+ games in there of interest. Bloodborne and Uncharted looked awesome! Ending with that guy swearing was pretty bad, though his game was perhaps interesting.

lol oops, just remembered TLOU:R has a secondary post-install install too (facepalm). Did you end up getting Infamous:SS ? try that one, it's "normal"!

Have a very n00b question - I haven't played video games in about 5 years. Picked up a PS4 due to the fact of netflix and I want to get back into gaming. What are the pros/cons to downloading vs buying physical disc? If this question has been, I will search the thread.

Thanks

Haha mine is still in the box from Christmas. As the only game I got is a digital download don't see any reason to setup until this mess is fixed.

What really Pisses me off about the psn down is they never give any info on how long it's going to take to fix.

I want to sell my ps4 with the games I have got on there, I only have 1 disc based game and the other 2 or 3 are downloaded is there a way I can sell these without formatting the ps4 and no harming myself in anyway. I mean could I just delete all my accounts on the ps4 and then I would be fine?

I just finished The Last of Us and the Left Behind DLC. Pretty impressed with the story, though a bit too many non-interactive cutscenes and hated having to put up with the usual crappiness of playing a shooter with a controller. It's a bit insane how much work they put in to the animations, tons of unique mocap details that just make the game feel incredibly fluid unlike anything I've ever seen and bring the characters to life. Looking forward to the new Uncharted to see what Naughty Dog does next.

But **** them for their DLC insanity, a quick pop in to that menu shows they're even worse than that train simulator company that used to flood Steam combined with Activision's CoD DLC spam.

Yeah, Last of US was really good. Could have been slightly better but definitely a great game.

hi, im looking o buy some new games (only have fifa14, cod and injustice fwiw, lol) im looking to get the last of us tomb raider and the new fifa? ive read they are great games, +cheap now, but im looking into getting one of either diablo, destiny or the lotr game as well, but i dont want to get into a mmorpg that would just get stacked and never played, are them like this? kinda like skyrim/mass effect or those games that take tonnss of time and you really have to get into it to make some progress? thanks!

Shadow of mordor is good, about 30 hours long and easy to pick up and play.

Destiny is ok but very time consuming if you want to hit the higher levels and it'd only worth playing with mates imo

Diablo is good but again better multiplayer.

Dragon age is the closest to skyrim, took me over 100 hours for main story
