While this sucks, he also mentioned that eventually you would be able to play PS1, PS2, PS3, PSVita and PSP games on the PS4 and any other new PS device such as the vita, which sounds pretty cool. The quick resume thing also sounds really good. It sounds weird but the load up time of the system, a game (especially a physical one) and a save game is a significant deterrent from playing.

Graphics from the new Killzone looked much better than current console games to me, but I'm not an expert on it. Enough graphic quality for me anyways. I hate all the social media stuff, but I guess it panders to a lot of people. I just hope it wasn't implemented instead of better AI or other innovation. Controller looks good. Hope the touch pad isn't gimmicky. Finally I really hope I can buy and play any game digitally so I don't need a physical copy.

Pretty optimistic so far actually!

I mean that game will be fun and all but they can't pull off a cohesive story to save their lives, that part will be a failboat

I will be surprised if a launch PS4 is ever capable of playing PS3 games

Game concept seems simultaneously boring and pretentious but I'm loving the stylized graphics. Hopefully more games will start to diverge away from omg let's try to make it look like reality, but on a tv!

Do you mean physical copies of PS3 games or no PS3 games at all? If you mean the latter I strongly disagree. The trend has been to offer all the older games in the digital stores (easy way to make money) so I don't see why they would abandon that. Of course, you would have to buy the game again.

I think technically the CPU emulation from PS3->PS4 will be exceptionally and likely prohibitively difficult to pull off.
