The hardest non-team level for me is the one with the falling fruit and the full level is just a conveyor belt. That one feels super RNG because you cant really move fast on the belt to dodge the fruit. You can walk up the sides to dodge a bit behind the little pop-ups but if you get on the conveyor slower than other people (start in back row), they push you back off the conveyor and then you get really behind and it's really hard to catch up.
Ya, you got the main strategy of that level down of getting behind those pink pop-ups on the side. Only other thing I can think of is to make sure to jump-dive on to the conveyor belt instead of just jumping if you weren't doing that already. Also, if you're approaching the pink pop-up on the side, you can jump dive onto the ends closest to the finish for a little boost.

I've done that plenty of times along with missing the jump completely due input lag. Tilt.
They added another final, which is basically the jump game where parts of the floor eventually fall. Haven't played it yet, but would much prefer this than the tail game.
