was thinking about picking up a ps4/spiderman bundle but before i could even consider it pretty much everywhere is sold out.

The PSVR Black Friday deals are huge bargains, for those already with a PS4 system. The VR now has quite a library of outstanding games.

Best price I've seen so far for PSVR is unbelievable - Kohl's have it at $199.99 with a further $60 rebate (so $140 effective) for Headset + Camera + Astro Bot + Moss bundle

Not exactly a rebate. $60 in Kohls cash. But there is plenty available to buy there to use the $60 on.


That's being said that's a fantastic deal that I'm probably gonna pull the trigger on.

I waited about 1 hr at Gamestop on Thursday to pick one up. I was there 10 min before opening and line of 30 people. The guy said there was a few in stock, so clearly they have underestimated the demand for this bundle at $200.

Not sure if this is nationwide or something Sony issued but Frys cyber week email has the 1 TB pro at 399

Really glad I never bit on buying SOMA. It's now available free on twitch prime on PC and next moNth on PS4. That being said, I am glad I wont have to deal with the twitch desktop app when I do finally get around to playing it. the other PS4 game is a arcade style racing game called onrush. A very notable freebie for vita owners this month is Papers PLease. Does not say it's a PS4 cross buy sadly on the sited I've seen but still

Cant go wrong with dark souls 3 and bloodborne, 40$ or so on amazon for both. Basically any big title from 2 years ago on amazon is 1/3 the price and just as good.

got my son a PSVR for xmas. much better than i expected. been having a blast playing bravo team and raw data. creed was ok but could be better

My "Must have" recommendations for new PSVR owners (many can be had in the current PSN sale):

Astro Bot (if you get only one game, choose this one!)
Beat Saber (or possibly this one!) (req. Move controllers)
Wipeout
Super HOT (req. Move controllers)
Statik
Farpoint (not required, but ideally with Aim controller)
Firewall Zero Hour (not required, but ideally with Aim controller)
Dirt Rally VR
GT Sport (limited VR features, pleasure drives and time trials only - but those are outstanding)
Skyrim (not required, but with Move controllers if possible)

An additional recommendation - if your options for camera placement are limited and suboptimal, pick up a cheap telescopic microphone stand from Amazon and a couple of zip-ties.

There are a ton more games, I am missing probably several other must haves but can't recommend having not played them. The thing has a very wide library now after 2 years of regular releases.

Oh, and if you are in any way a fan of their respective franchises:

Batman Arkham VR (Move controllers not required but strongly recommended)
Star Wars Battlefront 1: VR mission

are absolutely stunning (but short, especially Star Wars)!

February free games are For Honor and Hitman Complete season 1.

Also Humble actually has a PS4 bundle that has some really good games including Wasteland 2, the Bard's Tale remastered, The Talos Principle, Killing Floor 2 and Shadow Warrior 2.

Dammit I have 0 time for games and I think I have to spend $15 to get 9 new games out of principle.

I got a pro a few months ago. Played RDR2, got done with it, then god of war which is honestly THE best game I have ever played. Beat it on the hardest setting. Maybe gonna do a NG+ playthrough again but put it down.

Just got kingdom hearts 3 and compared to god of war it's just.. disappointing. Unbelievably easy combat on the hardest setting, graphics are poor, story is slow and boring.

So what next? I think maybe spiderman, but I don't know. I really don't want to play FPS's on console, I have my PC for that. I am really ignorant of the PS4 library. Any suggestions?
