have been waiting for a merely good ps4 pro deal for a couple of months, and yesterday i got an outstanding one on amazon prime day (australia).

i've never owned a playstation before, so am looking forward to playing the last of us 1 and 2, uncharted (i think i'll just play 3 and 4, tell me if this is unacceptable).

can anyone recommend any great two player games (coop or vs, doesn't matter) that my girlfriend might enjoy? i saw fifa was cheap on prime day but she isn't interested in that.

TLOU is a must-play.

Uncharted 3 and especially 4 (in regards to graphics and gunplay) are both great. I could make a case for skipping #1, mostly because of a specific mission that shows just how clunky controls were back then. But it’s a good story. I wouldn’t skip #2 at all though. Probably the best story in he bunch. Don’t forget Lost Legacy!!

Uncharted you may as well play 1 and 2 since they come in the remaster collection anyhow alongside 3, the whole disc of which will be very cheap. AFAIK there is a story arc that goes across all games (I'm about halfway through Uncharted 1, really should get back to it at some point!)

Street Fighter V and Tekken 7 are excellent examples of a classic fighting game, if you ever liked those. They support 2 player of course. I couldn't get in to them, despite liking them as a kid.

Call of Duty generally supports split screen 2 player. (Cod Blops III free right now from PS+)

Overcooked is very highly spoken of, I have no experience.

I'd say Detroit is a good one for playing together, amazing game. The older others of this type (Heavy Rain (currently free on PS+), Beyond Two Souls, Until Dawn) might be also. "Choose your adventure" type games where you can discuss/ decide with a partner what to do, though some moments are time limited.

Diablo III is a great game, and does a very good two player couch co op.

Overcooked is one of the funniest couch co-ops I’ve seen.

overcooked looks like fun, we both enjoy food stuff and she has played that gordon ramsay's DASH before.

If you haven't played them on PC or previous consoles Borderlands the Handsome collection has both BL 2 and the prequel for around $20 . Also if you pick up the Nathan Drake collection, you may as well pick up UC4 which I think is still on sale for $20 on psn.

Death Squared is an awesome co op/gf game. I also worked on it so it’s a must have :P

Rocket league

Borderlands (1 and 2) were both really fun as a two player experience... First person shooters that are easy, funny, kind of cartoony in style. I enjoyed playing through those with a friend. (If she's not into FPS at all, perhaps abort this rec)

DbD looks like a lot of fun from streams I've watched of it. Having it available for free will obviously mean a huge influx players, and the fact that it's main competition (the Friday the 13th game) has had to essentially close up shop because of legal issues regarding who owns the rights to the franchise,https://www.pcgamer.com/friday-the-1...manently-axed/ bode well for the future of the game.

Dead By Daylight. Free PSN game this month. Super fun. Especially with 2-3 friends in party chat.

Just a heads up that Horizon Zero Dawn complete edition is just $12 on psn store right now. If you haven't played this game drop everything you're doing and do so now.
