Both games look great.

I didn't realize how much a good wheel/pedal set costs for the ps4. It's more than the console.

Witcher looks like a skyrim beater, meant to be bigger with tons to do.

The wheel/pedal set is the cheap part. Mounting the wheels and pedals is the hard/expensive/space consuming part.

Has anyone here played Axiom Verge? I like the Metroid style games...sounds like this was a fun but not long game with a decent amount of back tracking you need to do to further advance (similar to an extent in some Metroid games)....seeing if it was worth the $20 download.

Well due to the overwhelming amount of responses I figured I would download it since it was only $20. If you like the Metroid style game you will definitely enjoy it. The controls work well and it is very addictive and fun. The biggest challenge will be trying to remember where I need to back track once I get the item to go through previous areas that were not accessible early on.

Ya a few of my friends were interested in it but they hadn't played it so I had no real advice to give.

Just started The Last of Us. It's pretty awesome so far. I like the story the most. The game itself can be kind of clunky.. Similar to uncharted in that respect

I really really enjoyed it. game was fun without being too frustrating and had a good story/loved the history. I know a lot more about ww2 than ww1 so that was cool

This Axiom Verge is close to the best $20 I have spent in a long time...lots of items/weapons/special moves to find and use if you liked the original Metroid type of a game. It is very addictive...can be tough knowing where to go with backtracking and testing new abilities to get to knew areas, but satisfying when you find out your new gun or ability gets you to a whole new area.

I didn't play that game so it's hard to compare. I did watch a bit of video of it and it looks different. This game has that more 8 bit feel to it, but the controls are great, cool and creative weapons and items to use, as well as (so far) a few boss fights that weren't too difficult but fun. Best comparison I can think of is a cross between NES Metroid and NES Contra plus some additional cool items which I'll put in a spoiler.

Spoiler:
I got a lab coat that allows you to walk through certain single layer walls, an item that can make platforms appear as well as slow down enemies. I also just got a cool little sidekick that you can sort of toss an egg which turns into a little robot that shoots fire and jumps used to get through areas your guy can't go through. I also got a drill which can hurt enemies as well as cut through certain walls for shortcuts or hidden items. It also has increased health, and power nodes, and partial health and power nodes (similar to Zelda)

Just saw that. HOLY CRAPP!!!!

Didn't know that was going to be a game. I'm not surprised that it is, but never heard about it. Looks so goddamn good.

Isn't there a Mad Max movie coming out? Decreases the odds of the game being good by at least 50%.

It's also an open world game made by Avalanche, which increases the odds of it being amazing by about 1000%.

Awesome. My brother and I watched the trailer and I knew I was gonna get it. As soon as I'm done with bloodborne I'll grab it. Thanks for the info.

Hey guys,

So I know "couch play" or whatever isn't really a thing anymore, but looking for a PS4 FPS that I could play with a buddy. I don't really mess with COD much but I remember one of the last CODs I played years ago had a mode where it was basically like survival co-op vs.waves of enemies, not sure if that one had zombies too.

What's the best (if any) COD available for PS4 with co-op modes?

Thanks!

The new Black Ops 3 will probably be better, but it's not out for 6 months. There is a decent enough 2 player split screen survival mode in the most recent one , "Advanced Warfare". If you're willing to pay for it, there is a zombies DLC for AW (haven't tried it myself) - but Black Ops is "the real zombies".

Heres a video I found of straight gameplay:

Awesome, thank ya sir.

Will probably end up getting BO3 too but for the price AW looks worth it for the campaign and multiplayer option alone.

You may be thinking of COD Ghosts. It has a horde mode called Safeguard where it's waves of enemies with supply drops in between. I think there are 3 different amounts of rounds you can go on it.

I had a lot of fun playing this with friends. Definitely worth playing if you're wanting a co op split screen shooter.
