So if I'm not getting into grinding gyms (just by a combo of not many in places I can spend a lot of time and not powerful enough), then buying coins is the only real way to get things like consistent lure modules and incubators, right?

When using an IV calculator what is the minimum % you should bother with powering up? And if you have one with a high % should you power them up to the max then evolve them or should you evolve them then power them up?

Also is it pretty much only worth powering up Pokémon you get from eggs or is it possible to find ones with high potential? I went through mine today and all the ones I have caught have really low % but any that came from eggs are 70%+.

I've got 4 10k eggs going right now, saved all my incubators for when i hit 20

You will not be able to receive any new eggs from pokestops if you have 9/9 eggs in your inventory.

The only thing you really need to spend money on in this game is incubators (that is unless you dont have access to pokestops and run low on balls) to keep clearing out your eggs (and also good for hatching stuff you never see/acquiring large amounts of candy in one swoop). Once I realized this (and read it from someone on here) I was stocking up on incubators and keeping my egg inventory open for new eggs. Started seeing a bunch more 10k eggs. Was giving myself the best opportunity to get them, especially hitting a ton of pokestops per day. Hatched two last night and have another two currently incubating.

For those who say they have yet to see a 10k, are you consistently at 9/9 eggs?

keep buying incubators, I incubate about 7-8 eggs at time. And once one hatches I spin and get a new one. I use my infinity one for the 2k ones and my purchased ones for the 10k and 5k. But damn I think I'm running below EV for 10k eggs I've hatched

The only playable ones were the 2 eevee and the 1 snorlax. I've been biking a stupid amount and it's been 90+ in socal for the entire time.

Running -EV in eggs, +EV in life/health

Suddenly, my team's color disappears from the gym and all goes grey. O HELL NO. I drop my pokething in the gym and resecure that **** for team valor. Confused kid whirls around looking around for the culprit with a look on his face like I just slapped an ice cream cone out of his hand. I look at him and drop down my sunglasses in my best *deal with it* motion and roll out.

Yeah I just double checked, I've hatched 30 eggs so far and IIRC, 3 of those have been 10k, and of the nine eggs I have now, 3 are 10k.

I can't seem to hatch any super rare stuff, but I am running above EV on getting 10k eggs so I guess that's something.

Is this 4% of eggs are 10k eggs or you have a 4% chance of getting a 10k egg from a pokestop when you have an empty egg slot?

If it's the former then I'm way way way over expectation.

I've hatched 78 eggs, and only 1 has been 10k

done that one time to hatch an egg that was almost done. maybe got 1k out of it. all my miles are from work

you really think i drove 120 miles at 2mph to hatch eggs? lol.

also, before you diss that as somehow cheating, i am disabled and can't walk long distances without being in extreme pain.

Has anyone else lost the ability to transfer spare Pokemon to gain candy?

It's now in the menu button in the lower right-hand corner of the Pokemon page.

It's just in a different spot now. Click the little menu thing at the bottom right when you're in a certain pokemon's profile.

Does that take longer? I was about to transfer and then evolve a ****load. Should I update before I do so?

Since there's no scrolling down to do a transfer now, I'd imagine it will be about the same speed.

Actually, I mark all Pokémon I plan to evolve as favorite, then sort by that.

Make sure un-favorite after evolving, that way you have to do 0 scrolling.

I got 70 clicking somewhat lazily and with one crash last time, 75 def doable.

Also, make sure to know at what time the 30m timer ends, so you don't have to leave the Pokémon screen to check.

Wow, yeah, they are talking like the game is completely dead/ruined.

IDK, maybe because I started playing after the three step glitch was in effect, but I don't see how removing the steps (which were non functional) changes anything at the moment. I'm more bummed about them shutting down Pokevision, and I don't get removing the XP bonus for good throws, but neither are deal breakers for me.

I just won't be able to monitor the neighborhood from my apartment and run out like a crazy person when something I need spawns down the street any more.
