Yea I forgot you could walk eggs without physically having someone else's phone.

Yea it would only work in a trusted environment like 2+2 Staking. Even then you'd have to have a reputation similar to mine or better (have done $1000s in selling shares packages both live and online)

It'd be something I'd potentially be interested in in a vacuum if a) I had a million eggs and no time to hatch them, b) said walker had a pristine reputation here and c) the price was fair enough

Full disclosure though, the price I'd be willing to pay is probably well below what you're willing to take.

But that said, half the fun in the game is doing everything yourself, so I dunno

Also it might look like GPS spoofing and get you banned if you live on the east coast and someone in CA is running to hatch your eggs.

It seems to increase odds of a success slightly. Personally, I throw a lot of curve balls because I simply suck at throwing in a straight line for some reason. Yesterday, some little kid was using his nose to throw pokeballs, said he swears by it.

All fair points. I guess I had people in mind who (like myself 50 weeks of the year) are chained to a desk working long hours and might not have time to unlock the 10k eggs quickly, or just want them all done at once.

I'm also not a huge Pokemon Go fan (yet) but I think I've underestimated how emotionally invested people are in their accounts.

You used to meet up with random 11 year old kids before this game?

Good idea i suppose, but probably no one will be interested.

People who are enjoying this game will want to hatch the eggs themselves.

It's a sense of accomplishment...

Did they make Bulbasaurs more common or did I just run hot today? Only caught 12 Pokémon and 3 were Bulbasaurs.

PM'd

Had my first gym battle today (chose team Mystic), involved a drive to the nearest town and got absolutely stomped but I'm beginning to understand the addiction. Grabbed a load of new eggs from the Pokestops in the town as well so will hatch them this morning.

Still only level 8 but feel I'll make some progress today....

I've read most of this thread. Since everyone is saying never to power up, what do you use stardust for?

I just hit level 20. Had 30k stardust saved up, blew it all on a hatched Lapras and Vaporeon. Here's my bros now.

Found a level 9 gym with 9 guys guarding it. My top 3 blew them away by switching in and out and using 3 other chumps to whittle them down. Gained like 5k+ experience fighting that one gym and took it over and left something ****ty to guard it.

Wish the rewards for beating a tough gym were more. I spent like 30-40 minutes in my car outside of a park grinding that thing down. It might have been red team for like a week before I got there with how much prestige it had.

Is there an optimal strategy for using for using incense? Is it more useful when you're on the move or will it work just as well when you're sitting about the house? Should you just wait till there are a lot of unknown Pokemon about?

From what I've read about the incense coding, it gives 1 pokemon per 5min if you're standing and 1 pokemon per 200 meters if walking, so walking seems optimal.
Also, it does not interfere with the nearby pokemon, meaning they do not come to you because of your beautiful incense smell. It just makes random pokemon appear near you.

Was happy with this find out this morning, added a few pages to the Pokedex. Heading out again this afternoon to a town as the nearest Pokestop to where I live is about a 30-45 minute walk and the next after that is happily over an hour and a half....

If you have an end game pokemon (especially if it has a high IV, if you want to bother with checking those) then you're not losing out on anything by going ahead and starting to upgrade it.

What is an end game pokemon and what is IV? I know nothing about pokemon before this game.
