I caught a dragonite in the wild at level 10. It's weak as ****. There's a 2.1k guarding the Philadelphia art museum steps/rocky statue for team valor

I tried the new Evee thing. Named it Sparky before evolving it into Jolteon. But, there was a 1/3 chance of that happening anyway. I guess it can't hurt.

Had an endurance race that we needed to leave town for about 5:30am today. Hit up the bakery for our traditional donuts before the drive. There is a gym two buildings down that for some reason was empty this morning.

Picture 35 year old me on cloud nine at 5:30am high fiving my kids in the street as we took the gym uncontested.

Of course it didn't last long as by mid day someone pummeled me in to submission.

Any idea why a gym in a popular location (kids play there every day) would all the sudden be empty?

Had a bit of a nightmare this evening with this game. Walking around a golf course after its closed, loads of Pokemon around but it wouldn't let me get them. I had to restart my phone every time I clicked on the pokeball to see how close my egg was and none of the pokestops worked on the way home.

Yep. I named an eevee sparky and it evolved into jolteon. My first three were vaporeons. Everyone was freaking out about how vaporeons are supposed to be great but I agree with you that jolteons are typically better for attacking gyms.

Flareon was always my favourite of the eevee evolutions but they seem to be much rarer than vaporeon/jolteon. Anyone know why that is?

All the gyms around here have huge CP guys guarding them. I'm level 13 but my highest is almost 700. Dunno if that's low or what.

Seems like building your trainer level is way more important than anything else.

ive stopped leaving defenders at a gym if ive already collected my daily bonus. the guy will just get knocked out anyway, plus it offers xp to another team to defeat.

they really need to give like 500 xp for capturing a gym, capturing should be the most important thing instead its pointless
