Of the originals, I'm down to Machamp, which I will get shortly after some more walking, and Kabuto/Kabutops which I believe went extinct shortly before I started playing the game.

Just caught my third Kabuto ever the other day. Still missing Machamp, Alakazam, Hitmonlee, Kabutops and Dragonite from Gen 1.

Gratz man!! Thanks to the water event me and kiddo caught three in the wild this weekend. Granted we were on an island in the Gulf but hey, it was still awesome.

I still remember when the monument area turned into a giant Kabuto nest. Just Kabuto everywhere. Five, six spawning at a time. Madness.

Needless to say if they ever introduce trading I've got all the Kabuto/Kabutops your heart desires.

If you're in a spot where they almost never spawn to begin with, more often doesn't mean a lot. I've only seen two during the event and never saw one before it.

I've gotten 0 up-grades, 2 sun stones, 1 dragon scale, 1 king's rock, and *drumroll* 8 metal coats. Last 6 items have all been metal coat.

Man, had quite a pokestreak today: caught a Lapras, a Snorlax, and a Gyarados, all within 30 minutes. Thanks to a scanner, but still. Was initially going simply to pick up the Lapras near office and noticed shortly after that the Gya and Snorlax popped up only a 1.6 walk away so made a run for those a caught them in time, there was maybe 22 minutes to left to pick them up.

The Pokémon gods appeared to have heard my lamentation and finally blessed me with an up-grade. Got apparently the worst moveset for my Porygon2 but whatever, happy to have it finally.

Finally got a sun stone! Up to 227 in the pokedex, most of the last ones I need will take a while (except nearly having a hounddoom and just needing another sun stone).

Yeah. They are not all that rare around me, and the local Twitter bot helps. I have caught about a half dozen or so in the wild.
