I've gotten four. Sun stone, Kings Crown, and two metal coats. So seems like they are random. Found out the spawn rate is .14%. So you'll get one every ~715 spins.

Man. Had a 2600 Dragonite at a gym for what felt like a month. The last week or so it was at the bottom of a level 7. Hatched a dratini not long after it to get a whole bunch of candies and honestly was begging for it to get dethroned. Finally just got dethroned and I was able to power it up for my first mom over 3k CP

And hatched my fifth Pineco. It's official, I hate these ****ers now more than Murkrow, and not spending a single dime on incubators anymore.

I literally just got two evolve items within 1 minute of each other. So either I'm running good (5 in 1500 spins not counting the 7 day item) or the spawn rate I found was inaccurate. One was my 3rd metal coat so not helpful.

Same, pineco, mantine, and sudowoodos. Caught both of the latter two before hatching also. Done with incubators for now.

I literally walked 400 kilometers to get my dragonite 3 weeks ago. 91% IV with dragon breath/dragon pulse. Walked him some more to power it up from level 20 (egg level) to level 25. Now he's at 2771 and I've just hatched a 97.8% IV dratini and the gen 2 update Dragonite came with much better moves than the legacy moves (for example Hurricane DPS is >50 while dragon pulse is 34). fml

What Gen 2 update? I havent seen niantec mention anything about a gen 2? just people passing rumors that it might be out some time....

im only lvl 31 but yes i do I watch all the press releases from niantec.... we just had johtu region pokemon released...but thats it... nothign about gen 2....

did we ever find out what the "save the candies" quote was for?

Easiest way is to download one of the IV apps that tell you the Pokemons IV. I use pokegenie on IOS
