Great, that'll give me time to actually find or hatch a goddamn Lapras or Aerodactyl.

Sort of burns me to see Lapras in gyms, I know it's all about the luck of what egg you get or being nearby when something great spawns but that's the part that irks me. I can't really change my luck, whereas I know with enough effort, especially now with the buddy system, I can evolve anything I don't have.

its not really a choice because xp and dust are pretty highly correlated and more often that not you get both for the same things.

but given a choice between the two, i would take the xp.

Yep. That's my biggest complaint.

Spend $9.99 on coins or spend $10 on gas to drive somewhere with enough pokestops for me to stock up.

went to the tower of london today and its now my favourite place again, got a wild aerodactyl and pikachu spawns everywhere, then went to hollands park and its lost some of its touch

if anyone is in england id highly reccomend tower hill

Depends on what your objective is, I want to catch em all as opposed to have strong IVs for battling so it sucks for me when a 10k is an Eevee (have plenty of strong Vaporeans). Haven't had a 10k in a while. Almost all 5ks which is a bit tilting.

I've yet to see an Omanyte, this is probably the biggest roadblock to catching them all, everything else I'm missing can theoretically be gotten using the buddy system or a lucky encounter/egg. Getting an Omastar seems impossible aorn

I hatched an Electabuzz today out of a 10km egg!! Woo....

Except there is an Electabuzz nest near my house and I already have caught like 20 and have about 60 candies. Wee!

Sorta, but move set is much more important than IV, and you can't know that in advance, so it's a crapshoot. Also, no one has unlimited stardust and candy, so you probably want to evolve something high level and decent IV than evolving something perfect but low that will require a ton of investment to get up to level.

I don't think that theory is true. I got Kabuto, 2 Magmar and 2 Electabuzz from my 10k eggs and my gf got 3 Onix and a Hitmonlee iirc. Not only have I never seen any of those around here, but Fire, Electric, Fighting, Ground and Rock Pokemon almost never appear here.

Don't give up hope, clearly you can find them in the wild (my one encounter it snap ran after ultra and raspberry). I've caught multiple Omanyte too, still would be cool to find another Omastar that the game doesn't screw me on.

Yeah, I had never seen an Omanyte until I found the FDR memorial, now I've evolved an Omastar (and caught a wild one). They do have spawn areas, just much rarer than most.

Now apparently I need to go to London to get an Aerodactyl, maybe I can find a Mr. Mime while I'm at it.
