Got 5 shiny Dratini, evolved the best one into a Dragonite and evolved a couple more regular Dragonites with Draco Meteor. Total # of Dratini caught was 108. Cool event.

106k stardust, not sure how many bulbasaurs, 4 venasaurs with super special awesome charge including 1 shiny. Put in about 90 minutes before battery died. Just a stone’s throw away from lvl 40

Solid event. Woke up a bit late so I forgot to track what my Bulb count, Stardust and XP were at before the event. Didn't realize they were doing 3x XP for catches until my first. Lucky egg + Star piece + 7 day streak = ~15kXP and 9.5k dust on my first catch. Averaging 1k on catches was pretty damn sexy. Also had sunny weather during the entire event. Got about 170 bulbs, four of which were shiny, with the best being a lvl33 98IV. Evolved that, a L32 93IV, and two of the shinies to get the new move. Probably ended up with 200k dust and 250k XP or so. Ended up getting my first shiny Lugia a bit later in the day - a weather boosted too! Just passed the 1/3 mark in level 39.

Had an EX raid on Friday. The hour before hatch was windy. Pulled up a bit early and it was beautiful outside. 70-ish, a bit cloudy but overall sunny and a bit of a breeze. Obv we're all praying the weather holds for a boosted Mewtwo. I figure windy, sunny, partly cloudy and even cloudy were all in play. What did the in-game weather change too?

MrsWookie and I could only do 2 hrs of the event, and while we went pretty hard, I think we may have only seen one shiny between the two of us, which MrsWookie accidentally transferred.

I forgot there was an event entirely

Was only able to do about 2 hours of the event and since my wife and son both had to work I was trying to work their phones as well. Luckily I ran superhot with my bulbs and got 12 shinies out of about 100 caught. None of them were great IV's (I think 87 was best) but got a couple high level non shinies that were 98, 96 that I evolved. Was sunny the whole time so every single bulb was boosted. Can't complain.

Yeah I did pretty much the whole 3 hours in an area thick with stops/gyms and only got 2 shinies. Plenty of XP/stardust/eggs hatched tho, so all in all a good event.

Quests are very good. Unfortunately, the newest update is buggy as **** on my Pixel XL, and it crashes all the damn time, can't log in most times until I retry a bunch, etc.

My research popped a moltres. As someone who avoided all legendary raids except mewtwo this pleases me

The quests are a great addition to a game that was just too raid-centric. Gives players something to do that more resembles "normal" playing rather than just raid after raid. Have to give Niantic some credit, they executed this well.

I was up till about 5am last night but i woke myself up for community day at 9am, got ready, about to leave, fired up pogo and was like where tf are all the Charmanders.

Then i find out its next week. Goddamnit.

so I started with like, no charmander candies, maybe 8 I think...caught two shinies like, 2 hours ago and the best IV was 33% loool okay, got plenty of time right? so I kept grinding...

at 457pm exactly, I figured **** it, I wanna see my black charizard so I evolved the 33%, as it was still my best (caught 4 shinies the whole time *eyeroll*)...

at 459pm, as I’m pulling into the parking lot of this BS fundraiser thing, I catch the last charmander of the event for me...

and it’s a shiny...I’m already cringing....

then I see it’s 98% attack/defense. and I only have 28 total candies left.

Surprised to see legitimately 200 people congregating in downtown Campbell for a ho ho raid. Joined in. My first legendary raid that wasn’t mewtwo. Got me a ho ho. Feels goodman

Ya I had between 80 and 100 caught and only 1 shiny

I was only able to play for the first hour and a half, caught a bunch of charmander and got 5 shinies. Not sure how many charmander that was, probably about 80 or 90, so got pretty lucky i think

2 ho hos so far, no shiny

I somehow lucked in to 4 shinys out of 32 caught. Didn't know I had any until the 4th. I play with very low brightness and reg and shiny looked the same. Lol. All terrible IV but I'll take it.
