Not a fan of the new map, though the improved FPS are quite welcome. Running at 100-130 vs probably 60-90 average on the live servers on same settings.

New map is actually too big for 100 people imo. Could easily have 150 or even 200 drop in it.

I played like 10 games on it last night, and was getting soooo bored. Way too big and spread out.

I'd love a map about 2/3rds to 1/2 the size of the original map, with 75 players.

If you want action just drop a city in the flight path, then move to centre and just run towards gunfire.

It's only dull if you want to be dull.

The whole point of the game is to try to win on a server of 100 players. Attempting to do that is really boring for 15-20 minutes.

I enjoy playing the game, but this games pacing is terrible. The beginning of games needs to move faster and the later parts slower.

I haven't played the new map, but it seemed obvious to me they needed to make a smaller map not a bigger one.

I always drop somewhere with moderate/heavy action on the live servers. The issue with this game is that it has a very slow mid game, which is sooooo much worse on the new map. That's my compromise of trying to win while also trying to get some gunfights in.

If I have to drive around honking to find action for 15 minutes in the middle of the game, that's just bad design.

feel like I have a pretty big advantage on xbox right now as a PC master race pubg veteran. No one has any idea what they are doing

I absolutely suck at aiming with the controller tho, so it pretty much negates my advantage once it gets to the end game

Yeah I'm pretty clueless, can't even fly the parachute right, I'm landing in the middle of nowhere every time

Is there like a strat post about which ARs are best or which scopes are best to attach to which weapon?

Got 2 solo wins today on the new map.

The Scar/M4 are about even if you have full attachments. The AK is stronger in terms of dmg/bullet, but the recoil on it is horrific so it's considered an early game AR ( ie dump it as soon as you find a real one ).

The M16 is strong AF, the burst mode actually destroys people up close, and it's got the highest bullet velocity so it's the best for single fire long range.

Attachments - the compensator is -20% to recoil, the flash hider is -10% recoil and removes muzzle flash, the supressor is 0% to recoil but obviously silences.


If you're a good player then the compensator is the go to - it lets you put out more damage at all ranges. The suppressor is great in solo/duo if you get the jump, but I tend to have a compensator equip and switch to a suppressor if that happens.

obviously better on PC, but am kinda surprised how good it runs on xbox. They did a good job considering the hardware limitations because it feels like the same game, just with clunkier controls, but thats how every FPS feels with a controller.

It's still buggy as **** tho. It will randomly lock up and boot you out of the game when you are driving, so if you can and are in duo/squad try to not be the driver.

I'll be joining you guys Christmas day on Xbox. At least I hope, I put pubg on my amazon wish list

I've been watching pubg on twitch since day 1 of closed beta, I think it was late February. I know all the strats and weapons but I'm still going to suck

Got it since yesterday on xbox, the regular, not x.
It runs good and it is alot of fun. Well worth the 30 bucks. I love that there is no aim assist at all.

i picked this up on xbox yesterday as well. hadn't played it before, and there is definitely a steep learning curve even though i had watched a fair amount of streaming play. i only got 3 or 4 kills over maybe 10 matches, but still a lot of fun.

It's a lot of fun to have a squad each with your own vehicle and you just roam the map madmax style running people over. Pretty effective as well, since you cant aim well enough on a controller to consistently hit a moving vehicle. I've had more fun doing this than at any point playing pubg on the computer.

I imagine people will adapt by not trying to shoot you and staying close to cover, but right now they just stand there and try to take you out, so are incredibly easy to hit. Nothing like taking out an entire squad in your car, lol.

I really hope they fix the crashing issue soon tho, its frustrating as hell.

control scheme is taking a while to get the hang of. discovered sprinting yesterday, and that's made a big difference.

my go to starting spot is the police station and town hall in yasnaya polyana. tons of good gear, and i rarely run into anyone.

finished 3rd in a solo match today, but no chicken dinners yet. vehicles seem a little overpowered, especially when the end game is in an open area. increasing the damage they take from gunfire would make it more balanced.

Stop bragging! Ha, took me twice as long to even get 1 kill. It's a real fun game with mates in a squad, not sure how it goes on Xbox but it's easy to understand why it's so popular.
