I posted this build back in 2012 and I've been using it since. It still runs great, I use it almost daily for work - running adobe and office apps, etc... It's good but it just can't handle the latest games although I think it's exclusively a gpu issue. Storage gets a little tight as well but I can live with it.
What do you think - a full rebuild or just swap out the video card? Any recs are appreciated.

I had more or less your setup (higher oc and slightly better ssd and ps) and swapped out for 1080.
All current games run on ultra at wqhd 60hz. I imagine if you want to play 144hz or whatever you might run into bottlenecks, I haven't researched it enough but otherwise you'll be fine for the foreseeable future
get a bigger ssd too, 50GB+ games will be pretty common going forward
