yeah they got overwhelmed a bit but I believe they will fix it over couple days/week+

75% lightning resist, don't let him do his power slam. No way he one shots 1650hp. I'd be more worried about getting through waterfall/pyramid than vaal (I once met double boss pack both had ally life regen, life regen, and enemies take damage) . You could do vaal in a group now, just run around and let everyone else kill him.

As for speed, yeah it's important but wouldn't say crippled as the damage is higher. Anyway the point is, go buy a level 48 normal weapon and transmute/ach it (After 4 whetstones of course). It is such an easy and powerful upgrade it seems. Are you like sentimentally attached to it or something?

Get two 30% lightning resist rings for vaal also. That way you don't get one shot. He always fires 3 lightning bolts which are really easy to dodge, As for melee characters, Good Luck

Yeah from the elemental damage. The raw DPS is close to the same (staves have poor min damage).

When you say "ach" it, are you talking about alchemy orbs? I thought these were expensive items. Like, I could probably buy a guaranteed good one for 1 alc orb?

I'm not attached to it. I would definitely like to stash it and use something better. I just didn't want to blow through my currencies on medium level items.

Prices kind of scale with how many rolls it would take to get an item that good. You could probably find one for 1 alch with a damage roll, a sick level 48 3-4 damage rolls would not cost 1 alch though, more like 4+ or 1 chaos + alch at least. Buying an item from vendor then alching it is a very cheap upgrade considering what you are using. I'd prefer to gamble 1 alch than buy something as good as what I 'probably' would have rolled anyway.

I just tried to buy a level 31 coral ring (bloody needed that ring for my treasure finder it had +18% rarirty and like +120 life and was jsut sick + damage +10% all resistance) for 2 alchs and a stack of chroms (lol)

On US HC an alch orb seems to be about 2:1 for chaos orbs.

The red -> green -> blue part is important. Any old 3 linked item won't give you the chromatic orb. So many recipes though damn, this is like a game in itself.

I might just set a record for Vaal Normal kill level. Currently at 30. So many DC's that I've sort of given up for a bit. That and 11 points to use, but not sure what I want on my Shadow. So indecisive.

Tempted to run for the Life Leech, but I don't think that'll work quite like it used to on Mephesto. I only have like 480 health atm.

They change, or I would have so many +20 all attribute ammys. Don't know the frequency.

I guess I got really lucky with my build/gear cause I've yet to have any real trouble and I'm at level 40. Pretty much just used split shot and rushed blood magic right away on my ranger. Really enjoying the game so far but I'm sure I'll hit a wall soon. I have no idea what things are worth and I'm too lazy/scared of getting ripped off to trade.

some builds perform better earlier. Not saying that's the case with yours, but possibly.

Not sure what your skill build looks like although blood magic does seem awfully far for you. I wasn't even aware that rangers used blood magic at all. I have it on my duelist, but I also have tons of health regen and health in general.

The shortest path to blood magic is 18 points and barely passes through anything useful imo (does have iron grip though). Can you link your build?

Act 3 on Normal is normally the first test if the core of your build goes in the right direction. So assuming you already are on cruel at 40 I wouldnt bother too much.

nugiyen is playing a bm ranger and is 7th on hc ladder...so I guess it works

I have a similar duelist bow build and theres quite some good stuff coming from ranger/duelist starting points like diamond skin, iron reflexes and 2.3% life reg.

really nice build actually, I love my hp regen and I never thought about working in both troll's bloods.

Although I've never actually looked at anyone's builds before either, other than my 2 friends that I play with. All our stuff is original, so it's interesting to see how different the builds are from people who play the game more seriously.

heh, I was actually able to modify my build to work in that stuff near marauder. thanks for that, I think I'll be a lot happier with the extra regen (even though I play softcore).

anyone have a good build for a Templar? im only level 10 so i cant have ****ed up a build that much yet. I'm leaning towards using a staff, but other than that i dont know. i've been using all 3 elemental attacks so far, so i dont know if im supposed to focus on just one, or what.

I'm nowhere to endgame yet but I'm trying to keep up both physical and elemental dmg on my duelist, so maybe try to do that with your templar as well

Im staff Templar and this is a build i plan to do. Im mainly using lighting strike and Arc(atm) with spell totem for dmg and maybe ill go for another totem :P.
